Her father had stepped away for a phone call. It wasn't unusual for Elias to come over to visit and he had been doing it for some time now. Usually to just have a couple of beers and chat before heading home but lately it happened a little more frequently after his divorce. When he caught sight of her, Elias raised a hand and shook his head, "Well, it was a little hard not to but.. no judgement here." He said before reaching over to grab the glass bottle and take a sip.
she let out a small breath at the answer and ran her fingers through her hair "I'm sorry you had to hear it." lilian watched his movements and went to grab herself a drink "just the joys of relationships" she said with a slight chuckle and shook her head, downing a shot glass.
Jefferson had in fact heard all of that. It wasn't his intention to do so , he was simply passing by to use the washroom when he heard the sound of her and her boyfriends voice coming out of a bedroom door and before he could make sense of what was happening he ended up hearing every word. He then walked away before she could come out because he didn't want to seem like an eavesdropper. He waited until he could find her alone and approached her when he did. Plot: desperately want a plot of a secret love affair between a rakish knight and princess/queen/duchess set in medieval/period fantasy times. they had been secret lovers for quite a long time until she was forced to marry another for the sake of saving her family/kingdom. thus, she had broken up with riordan and barely a few weeks after that he had been sent away on battle. some months later, he has returned and after watching y/m and husband at court, he's had enough of the clearly empty marriage between y/m and their spouse and has come to reclaim back their relationship. gimme all the clandestine moments of passion, jealousy and secret glances, and babies that are not her husband's in the very near future.
Riordan angrily shoved her bodyguard's arm away when he tried to stop the bristling knight from entering her chambers. Thankfully for him, her new personal knight was his friend and thus he reluctantly let Riordan in despite her orders for he knew how miserable both parties had been. "Him??
