tagging scp 106 in this as larry is mentioned in this and my oc casimir IS an instance of scp 106. Anyways I remembered that I wrote stuff about Casimir. Also have drawn him a bunch too.
My oc Casimir is a french trans man from the 18th century, he was the middle child of a family of 7. He didn’t fit the norms of that era from the very beginning, so he was a lot less tolerated by his family, especially his parents, and the older he got the more rebellious he’d become, the more they didn’t tolerate him. and he did kind of start out with some sort of rebellious nature, but he didn’t really start out as a bad kid, he just struggled more than others, and he wasn’t normal in their eyes, and that caused them to be harsher towards him. he strongly disagreed with their views, beliefs, and the way they treat him and the others. he struggled to empathise with others, he struggled to understand or relate to people in general.
he felt more of a connection to insects and arachnids than he did humans, finding himself fascinated with them, his interest in invertebrates stayed with him for practically the rest of his life. by age 18, he’d grown an intense disdain towards humans, especially his family, he was quickly becoming fed up with them, wanting to escape and be free from their grasp, wanting control over his life. he was lured in by the rot, which was at the time desperate for a host, it wanted to spread around France, around the entire world much more effectively than previously, and a human host would do wonders for that aspect.
the rot, inevitably, had drawn him in, eventually he came into direct contact with the rot, which attached itself to him, taking him as a host, and slowly turning him into what could be considered an instance of SCP-106, though he is a seperate person from Corporal Lawrence. the rot, desperate to kill and spread, was also a hivemind, everything it desired, it’s host desired. prior to contact with the rot, he had already had thoughts of killing his family, but he never really had the guts to ever actually go through with it, it was simply a fantasy he would have in a desperation to escape the people in his life. but due to the hivemind, he became obsessed with that fantasy. everything he did after becoming a host to the rot, he did by his own accord, the rot didn’t control his actions, it simply amplified his urges, intensified them.
he didn’t have to do what he did, he knew he didn’t have to do it, and he even knew that this thing was making him want to do it more, but he didn’t care, he really wanted to do it. Several months after he became a host to the rot, he killed his entire family. and to him, that was the best thing he ever did in his life. after killing his family, he (very dramatically as always) decided that he would wipe out the human race, and not mercifully. he continued to slaughter people, torturing them in all the ways he could think of. he loved it. it didn’t take him long to became aware of his immortality, and he was very pleased with it, this solidified his motive to wipe out humanity.
he liked to steal items from people, including his victims, usually rummaging in homes looking for things to keep for himself, like clothes and trinkets for example. he went through a few different appearances, not knowing how he wanted to appear, apart from being less feminine, as he had always felt strongly disconnected from his assigned gender at birth, just as he had also felt strongly disconnected from even being human. prior to the rot, he fell in love with a girl, who his family did in fact find out he had feelings for, and he was punished for it. being young, he truly did not understand the situation completely, all it did was lead him to a point where he became incredibly hateful towards ANY kind of romance, seeing it as a problem, a waste of time, and he found it disgusting. soon after he offed his family, he did in fact lash out at and kill this girl that he had feelings for, not to satisfy any desire, but to make sure he wouldn’t ever have to feel that way again. she was the only one he didn’t really enjoy killing. either way, he did eventually move on from this.
he had access to the same pocket dimension that SCP-106/Corporal Lawrence eventually has access to, he would store all of his stolen belongings there, including bringing people to the pocket dimension to torture them further, as he had realised he was a sort of god there. eventually, after a long time of continuously decaying and aging, after a long time of killing people over and over again, he basically became the rot, the rot had practically consumed his entire being, having been slowly taking over his body bit by bit over the past couple hundred years, and this caused him to eventually fall apart and melt into nothing but the sludge like the rest of the rot.
he reappeared within the pocket dimension, becoming unable to leave. he had suddenly began to change, turning into a manifestation of his self image, his mind, his thoughts, his interests. he became monstrous, and despite it being an uncontrollable transformation, it was also partially the form he wanted to take. he wanted to be far from human. he wanted to be above everyone else, and be feared, seen as a monster, seen as a god, even. and yet, it didn’t take long for him to absolutely freak out about his circumstances of being trapped within the pocket dimension. after all, how was he meant to wipe out humans if he was trapped alone? how was he meant to have people fearing him?
he wanted to be seen, to be known, to be feared. he didn’t want to be unknown, he didn’t want to be alone. he was trapped, but the rot was still spreading and killing, very, very slowly. he felt no joy from it, for he wasn’t able to see these humans, he wasn’t able to see how scared they were, and how much pain they were in, it only made him feel worse. he used to smile on a constant, and yet his circumstances were so upsetting to him, that he completely stopped smiling, frowning and snarling almost constantly. he only grew more desperate, more angry. he felt like he was nothing, and he felt he had to be something.
had casimir not met lawrence, had the rot not lured that british corporal into the mysterious hole within the enemy trench during WWI, casimir eventually would’ve given up, and laid on the pocket dimension’s floor for all of eternity. never to move, never to breathe, he practically didn’t exist. luckily for him, that’s not what happened. as soon as he saw the young man, he rushed at him, forcing him into becoming a host to the rot. given the fact the rot is a hivemind, every host is connected to one another as well as the rot, meaning casimir would have the opportunity to access and control lawrence’s body, which means he could in some way, exist outside of the pocket dimension. he was not going to miss the opportunity to finally have a form of freedom, all he wanted was freedom, after all. if this was the closest to freedom he’d get, then so be it. this gave him the opportunity to continue his slaughter of humans, and that big grin, after so long, finally returned on his face.
despite casimir seeming to only ever be focused on murdering and torturing humans, he was still, very obsessed with bugs. even in the pocket dimension, he’d often try to recreate insects based off of his memory of them, often creating very twisted and distorted versions of butterflies, enjoying having them flying around at times. He also often liked to look through his trinkets, he had occasionally kept books he liked, and he would often read them over and over, even after centuries, he would still read these same books, he did like reading books. he did have interests, apart from killing people. though, generally being a horrible person was his biggest interest. he loves being a monster.
his relationship with lawrence was bumpy, given the fact that both of them were irredeemable, bad people. but also, casimir was incredibly self absorbed, and due to that he did a lot of things that were harmful to lawrence. some of these actions of casimirs, surprisingly, he did realise were wrong of him, as while normally, casimir genuinely wouldn’t care, he did to an extent want the best for the man, as he was another host, and while Casimir would never admit it, he did grow attached to lawrence. and in present time, while lawrence does struggle to let go of the past, the two of them do get along. they had enough reason to get along, they have similar interests, they both love being bad people, and they didn’t particularly like humans.
idk im using this as an opportunity to dump art of him (sorry about the french one i dont know french well but im trying my best and im not translating it but it is basically him crashing out about being trapped in the PD, feeling like he is nothing, and that he has to be something. that he wants out) also if youve seen his ref sheet and it isnt obvious already, his ref sheet is a teensy bit outdated…..
