for a disordered experience that predominantly affects how you interact with others, coming out socially 9 times out of 10 will bring out the worst casual ableism within people - particularly when you do not have the means for a diagnosis (not to forget the immense sexism & racism that leads to medical neglect, so diagnosis is out of the window for a lot of minorities)

the amount of people who have side-eyed me in response to coming out and offhandedly mentioned how children online fake these disorders, or how they hate fakers or self-diagnosers and how "the real ones" suffer because of that is insane to me. like you do realise that you're adding to that problem, right? you realise that, by seeing any unconventional signs of neurodivergency and mental illness and brushing it up to being a cringe tiktok faker, you are inherently part of the issue. right

and by making plurality an exclusive VIP club you are also contributing to the immense ableism that we face every single day. it's already egregious enough to hear it from singlets but being plural yourself does not exempt you from applying to this ableism - especially if you flaunt that you're one of the diagnosed ones - not like those fake self-diagnosers. the sentiment drips with playground-levels of authority. what about the undiagnosed systems who are people of colour? the undiagnosed systems that cannot get a diagnosis due to the immense medical costs of even a basic assessment? or the undiagnosed systems who just want to protect their rights in this day and age, where even autistic people are under threat of being put on a registry?

what would happen to the numerous other stigmatised neurodivergencies that are seen as dangerous in the public eye? you claim to protect those that are disabled but fail to read the room even at a base level.
