Harley laughed at him a little, shaking her head. “This trip sucks.”
Yes, but at least we get to hang out. That’s the only good thing about it.

Harley laughed at him a little, shaking her head. “This trip sucks.”
Yes, but at least we get to hang out. That’s the only good thing about it.
“Never,” she smiles, moving her guitar onto the floor next to her. “I haven’t seen you all day.”
I was exploring I guess. Not that there’s anything interesting around here.
“If you’re gonna be rude, you can leave,” she smirked.
Now that’s being rude.
“I wasn’t playing that loudly,” she laughed, pressing her lips together.
There are no walls around here.
Harley looked up, blushing. “I didn’t know you were listening.”
It’s not like there’s any walls around so it’s kind of difficult to ignore it.
It was after dinner, and Harley finally had some time alone in her tent. She had brought her guitar along, because she never went too far without it. Seated alone in her tent, she began strumming it aimlessly.
That’s pretty good Harley Quinn.
Harley smiled, nodding. “That’s all I could ask for,” she whispered before pressing her lips to his.
Joe kissed her back, smiling into the kiss at first.
“It’s not something you can really understand unless you go through it,” she shrugged, cupping his face in her hands. “But thank you.”
“I mean, to not find it so- strange.” he said with a smile, “You’re welcome. I told you that you could tell me anything.”
After a few seconds she pulled away, a small smile on her face. “I didn’t want to lie to you anymore,” she shook her head. “It was killing me, but I couldn’t tell you ether. I’m so sorry Joey.”
Joe gave her a small smile, nodding. “I’m glad you finally told me.” he stated with a smile, “I still don’t really understand it but i’ll try.”
Less than a second after Joe looked at her, Harley was lunging on top of him, arms wrapping around his neck. “I love you so much,” she whispered.
Joe was surprised when she hugging him but he quickly hugged her back smiling. “I love you too Harley Quinn.” he whispered back.
“I don’t know,” she shook her head. “It’s literally just like someone walking into a room. They just appear.”
Joe sat in silence again, thinking. “So, it’s like a super power?” he said quietly before looking at her.
She let out a breath of anticipation. “God please don’t hate me,” she blurted out, pressing her lips together.
Joe kept avoiding looking at her, still with the same confused look on his face. “I just- how does it work?”
“I’m a medium,” she said all too quickly. “Or at least, that’s what the internet says I am. I’m still trying to figure it out.”
Joe sat there looking at her with a confused look on his face, “I- what?” he said almost whispering before looking away from her confused.
“It’s this… thing,” she paused, trying to find the right words. “It’s been going on since I was younger; I mean, when you’re five years old and seeing people that aren’t really there, they’re just imaginary friends, right?” Harley stopped to catch her breath, looking at Joe. “But then these imaginary people turned out to be real people– really dead people– and when this starts happening to a twelve year old with her dead twin brother, people start asking questions, and your parents start looking at you like you’re insane.”
Joe gave her a surprised look for a few seconds while he processed the information. “Wait.” he said shaking his head, “What?”
Sighing, Harley pulled away from him before going back to the couch and sitting down. She ran her fingers through her hair and said, “This isn’t something normal, okay? And you’re probably gonna think I’m crazy or something.”
Joe sat besides her, “I’ll try my best to understand whatever you tell me.” he said looking right at Harley as he waited for her to begin speaking.
Harley sighed, resting against Joe’s body. “This is different though,” she whispered. “It’s not something you can just say.”
Joe pressed his lips together, “I don’t know what it is but you can tell me. I’m serious, I won’t walk away. I want be mad or judge you. I’ll just be here.”
“I can’t,” she shook her head. “Not this.”
Joe hugged her tightly before speaking, “You can tell me anything.”
