"It doesn't matter who your parents were. Everyone is a child of the sea."
"I am the mighty Whitebeard! Don't expect to find yourself an audience on my ship without bringing some fine sake. Gurarara-- you're better a chance to sway a Sea King than me."
An independent roleplay and ask blog for One Piece's Edward Newgate aka "Whitebeard". Anything post-war is considered AU. Please be aware I am willing to interact with anyone within and outside the fandom be you canon or oc. Do not come to me full expectant of a ship. A majority of you are viewed as brats to him and will be treated as such. I track gurararara.
"I am only one man with one heart. Call me a demon, call me a monster, but I can't be the strongest forever!"
âGurarara, and who might that be, boy!? Last I check, the lot of you brats can hardly keep on your own two feet after the liquor stores been replenished!â
VERY excited jumping, climbing, nuzzling and patting at the banana mustache person for being back again!
âGurararara, someoneâs excited to find us back at port, eh?â Chortled the behemoth as a massive hand went to ruffle the unruly hair of Monk. âBeen keepinâ yourself in trouble, wild-brat?â
I just kinda snuck my way back onto the blog. Iâm always in and out sooo I figured I wouldnât bother making an announcement or something âbout it. Just gonâ try to be more active as my time permits -nodnod- //
Yeah shame on me. Law is still my favorite character and Marco is second.
But Iâm on a Marco trip right now so sorry Law I will draw you again after Iâm done with my Marco trip xD
I wanna see Marco again,
wanna know how he joins Whitebeard,
wanna know how old he is exactly,
wanna know how he looks now.
Is he fine or not?
So many questions >3<
So I drew him as kid together with younger Whitebeard,
because I hope he joined him when he was quite young, like 14 or so <3
Marco: Look Oyaji <3 I drew that map on my own!
Whitebeard: Really my son? Thatâs amazing Gurarararara

âI am far more human than some youâll find on the high seas, though there are many who may claim otherwise. Fallacy is the common manâs arrogance, and Iâve patience for neither.â
"You and Shanks Classic are playing Absinthe Pong? I call dibs on the winner. I'll take shots as the loser takes shots while waiting. I'll still win, old man."
âReally, now? Lass, you may have the drinkinâ gullet of an alcoholic begginâ for liquor from the kitchen tap, but Iâve got years of drinkinâ on the lot of ya! Iâll be dancinâ circles around you passed out fools in no time.â
âI was just leaving this island, just now! I swear! I didnât want to explore this place, anyway! You can have it! Iâll just be going now! Please donât hurt me!â
After the people of this island went through the effort of making this all a big fuss. Contacting him by the emergency Den Den Mushi  and frantically exclaiming how some âsuspiciousâ individual was drawing near the island with this absolute, downright mischievous look on their brow... and this was it? Just some brat who hardly looked the part of a common gum-swiper? There was hardly an expression on his face. Just an empty look as he stared the youth down, contemplating if by some cosmic deity she was capable of withholding her prowess so much so he couldnât get a read on her. Silly thoughts, yes; but as it stood, his time was being greatly wasted. She looked terrified.
âIâm not going to hurt you, brat.â These calls actually happened more than he cared for from this territory. Whitebeard was certainly an understanding man, but he wasnât always a patient one. Heâd have to have a talk with the mayor. âIt appears there was a misunderstanding from my protectorate; apparently they canât tell a harmless brat, from a bloodthirsty wolf.â Finally anger shown through by the wrinkles defining at his brow and lips.Â
âDonât be a damn coward. Go do what you came here to do. My protection of an island isnât meant to shy away good adventurers, so calm yourself, girl.â Her lack of enthusiasm seemed to irritate him somewhat, but perhaps that was thanks to the already foul mood this whole ordeal plopped him into. Even the commanders who stood on Mobyâs figurehead were throwing up their arms and complaining some good distance away. Talk about one hell of a misunderstanding. Only the unwise prodded the mighty Whitebeard.
âEh?â the small bluenette exclaimed when she felt a shadow towering over her. Turning around, she saw the tallest man she had ever seen in her life. She barely came up to his ankle. âWow, mister! Youâre so tall!â
Looking down for a moment to collect her thoughts, âCan you help me? I have no idea where I am,â she admitted sheepishly. Bra had gotten lost way too many times and she was starting to doubt her sense of direction.Â
âHm?â A deep rumble came from his throat as a tiny voice squeaked from below. Turning eyes of gold to meet those of the blue-headed youth, a faint twinkle of delight shown in his age battened face. Such a little thing - with years of adventure to be had and dreams to be dreamt just waiting on down the road for her. To think heâd come across one so small whose mother was yet to pull her aside from his path; that was a rarity, especially in territories not his own.
Such boldness on the childâs behalf didnât go without itâs recognition, not that Newgate would have ignored her plea for help in the first place. âSabaody Archipelago,â his voice rumbled flat and gruff. âThatâs the name of this island. Hasnât your mother taught you anything, girl?â She looked around five, maybe old. He expected most children would know the name of the islands they lived on - then again, this place saw many tourists. She could have broken off from from whatever group decided to dive out the street when they noticed him.
Iâve returned from my unexpected hiatus. Another semester has started, but thankfully I decided to half the amount of classes Iâll be taking to reduce stress.
Firstly, I decided to change my blog theme, which has been done and I am making some tiny edits to until Iâm satisfied. Next Iâll be deleting some old posts and hopefully tagging old ones as well as I would really like to tidy up this blog as much as possible. Old threads shall be kept, of course, along with images and what not.Â
Unfortunately while I was away, I had to get a new computer since my original one finally died. Due to this, I no longer have my old reaction images, so for a while, if I respond to any asks or anything of the like, they may very well have no response images until I can get around to making me some new stuff.
I also see Iâve managed to accumulate quite a few followers in my absence and would like to welcome to all as of now! My apologies for inactivity, that actually happens from time to time as I work crazy hours and attend classes. Any of you are welcome in my ask box for roleplays and chats.
I have a dissection to do before I continue my refurbishing, so iâll see you brats later! //
Kai has gotten caught stowing away on @gurararara ship;
ââŚâShe was really slacking today. It was already a bad idea for her to try anyways, but their was no other choice. Kai didnât want to stay on this Island any longer and it just so happened that the Moby dick was leaving.
Sneaking on was the easy part staying hidden was the challenge. Everything was going well til a crew member spotted her. With no place to run Kaiâs only option was to surrender. She was forced to hand over her bag and weapon.

The woman was then escorted to the shipâs captainâWhitebeardâ. Staring up at the giant man she would be lying if she said she wasnât nervous. He is a legend for a reason. Kaito was almost speechless for about five secondsâ Can I have my things returned to me?â
For such a small island, the Whitebeardâs held back no mercy in their onslaught to party. With Marco and Izo having finally arrived from their month-long mission, there had been much to celebrate in which the Captain wasted no expense. Laughter and song filled the air, and distant islanders fearfully cowered as the island itself shook from time to time. Not quite the old manâs fault as his brats had decided to pull out some cannons for drunken target practice.
Much to the islanders relief, as suddenly as they came the crew was gone. Departing from their remote area of the island after dousing their campfires and tidying up their mess. There was hardly a trace left theyâd been there at all. And while no weapon or scrap of meat was forgotten, something appear to have tagged along with their crew. Well-- someone. The very someone whom now stood before the ships captain with Jozu acting as her escort.Â
âWeâve got a stowaway, Pops.âÂ
âAye, that we have.â He sat in his chair as nonchalant and relaxed that if the world beckoned its final trumpet Newgate may have very well wrote them off as a minor inconvenience. The day was too fine for foul moods and hot-tempers; and being a man of moral he wished no ill intent on the woman regardless how she may have invaded his home. Looking at the son to his side who had procured the womanâs items, he beckoned with a nod of his head. âYou heard her, the lass wants her things back.â Of course that earned him an anxious look. As powerful as he was, his sons still worried and took precautions in some minor attempt to keep him safe, but Whitebeard didnât need their protection. He only needed his own two fist.
The man approached and set the items on the deck before backing away to rejoin a nearby group of curious nakama. Meanwhile, the Yonkouâs gaze settled firmly on the stowaway as he spoke, âYou mustnât have much of a brain in that head of yours.â Such a voice shook the very heavens, commanding and thunderous in itâs speak. âWho are you, and by what incentive did you think it was to sneak aboard my vessel like a waterlogged rat, eh?â
