Mekiah pulled away from Karma, wanting to say a thought that came to his mind. “Okay, so first off, you look hot as hell right now. So, just wanted to let you know that. Secondly, do you remember when we were talking about kid names? Just like throwing them out there. And we kinda said Garbanzo jokingly? I actually think that would be a rad name. So, if we ever have kids they’re gonna have rad names like Garbanzo. You game?” He asked, chuckling after he finished talking.

Karma giggled quietly, her cheeks a bright pink as she listened to him speak. “Well, thank you. Do you really think I was joking about Garbanzo though? Because I was being one hundred precent serious. Our kids are gonna be fucking awesome.” She smiled, kissing him softly.

“I’m being serious, Karma. Stuff like – you tell me how you’re feeling instead of like, you know, dumping me. Not just cutting me out of your life as soon as stuff doesn’t go your way, you know?” He asked, looking down at her, his eyes meeting with hers. 

“I know. I’ll work on it. I promise.” She smiled weakly, “I really am sorry. It was dumb, I know. I know, I know. You just have to be patient with me, okay? I do love you.”

“You didn’t say it explicitly, but I hear you loud and clear now. I just wish you would have known that a few days ago. Or, like, right when I saw it. Either/or.” Mekiah smiled weakly, looking down at their fingers, and nodded softly. “I – yeah. Of course. I just – guidelines. That has to be a thing.”

“I’m sorry.” Karma frowned, stepping closer and wrapping her arms around him. “Guidelines. Of course.” She mumbled, running her fingers through his hair. “What kind of guidelines?”

He wasn’t expecting to hear what she said, and it caught him off guard. But now he knew why she ran. “You dumped me because I said I loved you? Why didn’t you just talk to me about it? I wouldn’t have cared if you didn’t love me back, anything would have been better other than what you did. But I missed you like crazy.” Mekiah admitted, just looking at the girl in front of him.

“Did you hear me? I do love you.” She smiled softly. This was the first time she’s said that to anyone. She reached out and grabbed his hand, intertwining their fingers. “Will you give me a second chance?”

Shaking his head at her second statement, he stayed put in front of the door. “You came all this way, might as well tell me what you were gonna say. I’m all ears.” Mekiah folded his arms, his rude frown turning into a blank face.

“I’m sorry...” She started, looking down and wiping her face, “I don’t know what to say. I’m a shitty person, obviously.” She frowned and looked back up, “I don’t have this long speech prepared or anything. When you said you loved me it scared me so I ran, not because I don’t love you, but because that’s what I’m use to. And I realized it like two seconds after it happened, but like I said, I was scared...I miss you.”

Rolling his eyes, he stood to the side, swinging his arm to indicate she can walk in. Sure, he was mad at her, but he didn’t want to see her crying, that’s the last thing he wanted. Closing the door behind he, he leaned up against it and watched her. “Alright, now you’re inside. What do you want?” He asked in a harsh tone.

“I wanted to apologize.” She said simply, tears rolling down her cheeks. She wasn’t really sure what she should’ve said, or if he was even listening. “If you don’t wanna hear it that’s fine. I don’t blame you.” She frowned, heading back toward the door.

Mekiah had been in bars and in his own bed for the last few days. He was confused as to why Karma ended things with him, and he was starting to doubt himself. The boy looked over at the clock and sighed, he hadn’t eaten all day. Getting up, he walked out of his room and down the stairs very slowly. A few minutes passed and he was finally in the kitchen, and grabbed some cereal. Before he could get the milk out, he heard a knock on the door. Groaning, he made his way to the door, only to see Karma on the other side. Opening it, he tilted his head, with a frown on his face. “What the fuck do you want?”

Karma looked down at the ground as soon as Mekiah opened the door, she was way too scared to look him in the eyes. The way he greeted her only made things harder. She finally looked up, her eyes noticeably watery. “Well, for start, I want you to let me in, so I don’t have to cry standing on your doorstep. If that's okay.” She said quietly.

The last few days had sucked, to say the least. She missed him, which was new because she never missed anyone. It took a lot of courage for Karma to go to Mekiah’s. Especially with her crazy ex on the loose, just leaving the house had been a struggle. She made her way up to his doorstep, uninvited, of course. She wasn’t even sure he’d take a minute to talk to her, but she knocked lightly and waited for a response anyway.

I don’t have boobs, so I can’t say I feel your pain, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. Although you were in the mall, you could’ve just bought a new bra.

Buying a new bra would’ve been a lot of work. You probably don’t realize how time consuming bra shopping actually is. I’d rather just not wear one.
