“Sec – security? почему…? I drink frisbees… freezebees… freebies?” Mia slurred, pointing at the shots she had consumed. “Is not free?”

She turned to the girl and tried to stand up in order to grab her purse but ended up tripping on the stool feet and lurched forwards with a squeal. “Eep!”

Once Thea noticed the once getting the free drinks was a Russian speaking blonde, she couldn't’ help but think her bartenders were to blame. "Nope, not free. No matter what that guy says.” She said nodding towards one of her bartenders. Seeing the girl reach for her purse, she was automatically relieved that this wasn’t going to be a problem. “Oh, shit!” Thea said outloud as she put her arms out, hoping to catch the girl from falling.

Neckline twists backwards, nape nestled in crimson gabric as the slighest and most facetious of simpers comes to settle upon drunken lips. ❝ thar’s alright… i’ve heard i’m quite yummy. ❞ solemn features soften, heavy lids crumbling half way through, azure eyes flash lights from within the darkness, perceiving her petite frame. ❝ why are you here anyways? ❞

Thea had to stop a cross between a scoff and a laugh from coming out when she heard his words, those lines from him where something she knew she would have to get use to. ❝ isn’t it obvious? ❞ she questioned him with a slightly raised eyebrow and a small smirk on her face as she poured more of the booze into her glass.❝ the drinks. and your ray of sunshine of a personality of course. ❞

“I was dragged here by a friend. I just don’t see the point in getting blind drunk every single night.”

“It can be fun if you know how to do it right.” Thea said as she grabbed one of the bartenders attention. “You sure you don’t want one drink? It’s on the house. Since I did excuse you of drinking a bunch for free.”

“erm… i have been paying for my drinks. what are you on about?” the brunette queried, an expression of bewilderment upon her features. “look, here’s my receipts,” she beamed, holding up a torn and scrunched sheet of paper as she slurred a little.

thea looked at the crumbled up paper, making sure the date was right and when she saw it was she couldn’t help but feel slightly guilty. “oh shit    sorry. i got a call that some cute brunette was scamming drinks off the bartender.” thea said with an apologetic smile. she looked at her bartender, but they only shrugged at her and she let out a sigh. “useless. sorry, again.”

“ I was rather wishing I wouldn’t be CAUGHT. “ Alina laughed, though growing more serious very quickly. “ But if you DEMAND, I can start paying you for these tragically overpriced drinks. “

"If you don’t want to be caught, I suggest you are sneakier next time    not here of course though.” Thea couldn’t help but smirk at the woman’s words though, being slightly intrigued. “They are only overpriced because they are the best and town, and a girl needs to make a living.”

“I think you’re looking for that blonde over there. I haven’t been drinking tonight.”

“Wait, you are at a bar and not drinking? I might have a whole new reason to throw you out.” Thea said with a small smile, recognizing the girl from the other day. “Are you on a cleanse or something?”

“Well, that’s no way to speak to someone who helped you open this bar up. Hey, Thea.” he said turning to the sound of her voice as he set his drink down, giving her a warm smile.

When the mysterious drinking turned around and it turned out to be Oliver, her whole expression lighted up. “Ollie! You should have called, I had no idea you were coming here tonight.” Thea was always happy to see her brother, but like usual it was unexpected.

Beth let out an exasperated sigh, bandaged knuckles gripping the steering wheel, foot banging on the accelerator. She should’ve known better than to drive past the gas station - no matter how late she would’ve been. Instead, she chose a midnight boxing match outside of town over generous time she could’ve spent marking papers for the morning after.

She peered into the dark-lit main road ahead of her, eyeing a pair of bright headlights accompanied by the deep rumble of ignition. Bewildered as to who would be out at this hour, Beth seized the opportunity and stumbled out of her car hoping to catch the driver’s attention before they sped off.  ❝ Excuse me? I’ve broken down, c-could you give me a hand?❞ 

Thea was getting back from a late night of fighting with her friends and brother. It wasn’t usual that people were out at this hour, so she coudln’t help but slow down slightly as she passed the car that was pulled over at the side of the road. And she was glad she did, because as saw a figure stumble out of the car and flagging her down. 

Pulling to stop Thea leaned her head out the window, hearing the others request. She gave the woman a quick glance over, the request seemed genuine enough so she figured she should help.  ❝Yea sure, just let me get my stuff out of the trunk. ❞ Thea said as she turned off her car, and stepped out into the night air. Mentally thanking Ollie for making her keep tools in her trunk just in case.  ❝I’m not much of a mechanic, but I can give it a shoot.❞

“Oh, I assure you, I make a good drink.” Wesley pulled out a tumblr and filled it with ice, and then carefully and evenly begun to pour shots, mixers, and flavors into a shaker before shaking them all together and pouring them over the ice in the glass. “Here, try this,” he said, and scooted the glass towards her. “It’s not on the menu but it’s a specialty of mine.”

Thea leaned against the bar top slightly as she watched the other make a drink, putting in various types of alcohol and flavors. She picked up the glass once he slid it to her, putting the rim to her lips she took a large sip. “Mhmm. Okay I admit it, that is really good. What is it?” Thea asked not being able to hide her moment being impressed as she took another sip from her custom made drink.

“Don’t get too excited, I’m only here to check out the competition. If everyone is coming to this bar instead of mine, I have to figure out why. I’m guessing it can’t only be your bartending skills.”

❝ I don’t want to talk about it, ❞ words drop like venom into the inky blackness, smoke fills his damaged lungs and alcohol purs down his throat. a cigarette caught in between busted lips, smoke swirls around him in a dance, ivory wisps creating a beautiful curved pattern in the air, bruised knuckles, painted crimson ran throughout raven locks, framing his immaculate features as thick lashes flutter shut. ❝ I never want to talk about it. ❞ 

thea lifted her own glass to her lips, letting the burn of the alcohol slide down her throat as she heard the other stubborn words.  ❝ that’s starting to become clear, considering how cold you become every time i try to talk about it.❞ she said with a roll of her eyes, leaning against the counter as she took yet another sip from her glass.  ❝ you know they say that if you keep everything inside, it will ear you alive.❞ thea doubted the little words of encouragement would get him to open up, but she figured it was worth a shot.
