I think it's best to shift the mentality to "Lukola forward", meaning only giving attention to events/ content that reiterates the Lukola narrative, aka the truth, in my opinion. To me, that doesn't mean arguing w/ antis to prove a point (it's so obvious now, there's nothing to prove), nor examining blurry figures desperate for a Lukola sighting nor overanalyzing every facet of Lukola-adjacent outings to show how fake it is.
None of that is what we want to see or why we jumped on board the ship or what we love about Lukola. So let's get back to the basics: when there is something new that is "Lukola forward", we can recognize it and celebrate it... 🥰
1) We love to see how Lukola enjoyed NYC together.
• TDWP2 interviews are out and it's interesting that Simone & Caleb spent alot of time together in the making of the movie, and N followed Caleb during her summer in NYC, when the movie filmed. It's nice to see N's follows giving credence to her time there w/ L ; see previous post) ⬇️

She could have said it was from when JVN was in town to see her play. Instead, she said they were on vacation, even though their last at least publicly shown vacay was years ago, lol 😆. But we do know where she likely spent alot of time w/ him last summer. 🗽

2) We love to see Lukola being couple coded.

• Remember in late March when N was rumored to be seen at "Paddington" the musical? Perhaps she went to see her costar Delilah who was in the show. But also, perhaps Lukola attended together and met the show's director, Luke Sheppard, who now follows L, and vice-versa. (Yes, there's rumors he's directing Rent's 30th anniversary*** )
3) We love to see Lukola living authentically
• They are, just not publicly yet and it's bound to be weighing on them, but they likely "must" and thus, we have their traitorous (so to speak) behavior toward Lukolas. As I've said, I think it hasn't been a choice, and N talking about privacy could be to set up an excuse for when she & L come out. "Do as I say not as I do"...
Note: You know what you do when you want privacy? NOT an interview exposing details of your home life, Mom & immediate family, NOT be all over sm and post your alleged bf & friends on your special night hosting SNL (UK), NOT significantly more interviews than your other, supporting actor co-stars (N did press w/ TMFAT leads - but no Saucepan man, Moonface, Dame Snap, Dame Washalot, etc., just Silky). And that's all just recently...
Lastly, this interview came on my feed, and all I will say is is if Michelle Obama can walk around unnoticed and get privacy, so can Lukola! Min. mark 4:40 ⬇️

Lukola isn't giving us anything to hold on to... a like from L on N's post or N donning her claddagh isn't enough. To use one of my hashtags from last year - we need #clarity not confusion... and we shouldn't accept anything less! 🚢💪
WE are the captains of the ship as the fans who made Lukola popular; due to S3 of Bridgy, they gained the majority of their fans. That's a fact. We've given grace, time & investment that hasn't been reciprocated as of late... that's also a fact. I'd say the last time was SAGs, 14 mos. ago, and they were still dancing around the truth.
It's clear that the adjacents are NOT what we want to see. So guess what? We don't have to watch! Don't get sucked into PR drama that isn't real anyway. As George Fouracres proclaimed... ⬇️
A few comments from the peanut gallery which sums up the current state of things (TY @frantastical, @truther1235, and @municolis):
On that note, what N & L want to do w/ their careers is their business. If we want to follow them or not is ours. Unfortunately, I think they squandered alot of goodwill from the Bridgy fanbase which results in fan attrition every time an adjacent appears. (Yerin Ha, i.e., is outpacing N rn in IG engagement w/ 1/4 of the followers). But I'm not here to bring anyone down. I'm all for a Lukola comeback and I think most people will return to root for them as soon as they are able to be authentic. 🙏
As for SNL, it seems preparation met opportunity for N - and networking helped, too... she's been friends w/ SNL talent exec. Dani Rait for years and even fit an A24 plug into a skit (Dani now heads A24 programming at Cherry Lane Theater; see my March 21st post that includes info. re: that connection***)
Having Jimmy Fallon as an "SNL Royalty" guest on the episode was a boon (and why I watched) and in "Weekend Update" they joked/ not joked about him being there to boost ratings. Great bit... and very well written, imo ⬇️
Imo, having Jimmy on didn't further establish N's versatility, as the format of the show aids every host in doing that, but rather, it highlighted N at her best as part of a duo... and interestingly, w/ another tall, good looking brunette who brought out the best in her 😉... The monologue and the Faraway Tree rap were both brilliant, and Jimmy's photo dump today captured some nice moments ⬇️
On a postive note: N is doing great, considering the situation and being just 3 mos. postpartum which is quite impressive, and those who will realize it when Lukola comes out, will prob. be shocked (their bad 🤷🏼♀️). And whilst I know some criticized Aimee's styling, N's outfits were postpartum friendly and good for new Moms (just wish N could talk about it like Lydia does. *sigh*). A few skits had pregnancy or baby references which I thought was interesting, too... 😉 ⬇️

Said by a Lukola who I spoke with today in reference to N's recent press interviews, and quite simply hits the nail on the head. The interviews indeed have been "weird" and out of character for N, esp. when juxtaposed w/ an open & honest LWest...
1) Same-same?
It's interesting that N and LWest have alot in common personally but N is on one interview path and LWest on another, and never the twain shall meet... at least during the BM2 press tour. We also have LWest outing when they really filmed BM2. We suspected it was before Lukola left for NYC and it's looking like it was before their vacation to AUS, in the mid March- mid May time frame (w/ reshoots and/ or add'l footage shot in Oct. when they were back in London). Why do we suspect this?
• #1- LWest posted how "very preg" she was filming He Had It Coming at the end of 2024, then stated in a recent interview that she was just 8 wks. postpartum when they began filming BM2 (Min mark 3:35), and #2- N showed up in mid-March w/ Camilla who, of course, wrote BM2 ⬇️
• It stands to reason that LWest had her baby in Jan./ Feb. 2025, as N likely did, and they were in the same boat of being new Moms upon filming BM2. LWest appears to be very far along at the end of 2024, w/ ≈ 2 or so mos. left, not 7 mos. (It would have to be June that she gave birth to be 8 wks postpartum for the alleged Aug. table read ). We have eyes! 👀 ⬇️
• Also notably, LWest posted twice on her IG grid in Feb. 2025, nothing for 2 mos. (filming much? Lol) then returned to posting in May when they were prob. wrapping***. Tbf, she doesn't post w/ regularity but still an interesting observation.

When people get bored, impatient or emotionally wrought, they start doubting the "why". Questioning things is normal, which I do periodically, but... I also make it a point to check-in w/ my trusted partner & Lukola crew and always end up back at my 3 non- negotiables. (Together, babies, NDA deal).
If you think they're doing it for any other reason then it's working, you're feeding into it. Imo, they will want you to believe it's been about privacy to protect their relationship/ family because it's something that can be excused, plus it explains away the adjacents. No break-ups are needed, it has a built-in mea culpa and provides a clean slate...
Atp, Lukolas are so in the know it's amazing how many people are on point w/ their insights and comments. (I didn't even need to comment on L & the Cyprus shenanigans because it was plenty covered, lol). We can all just take a collective breath, and wait out the weird. 🤪

This year is shaping up to be their most inauthentic yet, so where does this leave shippers? It seems to be either: in a holding pattern, largely moved on but keeping one eye open or, completely moved on already. (For Lukola's sake I hope the latter is minimal). W/ that said, I have been reminded of several things the past few weeks:
1) Look how easy it is to be private but not secret.
Which reiterates Lukola's likely lack of choice in the matter. They alternate taking backlash from the fakery and it's been on N's shoulders lately. I feel bad she hasn't been able to share her lovely, family movies publicly w/ her own family, and her interviews are being side-eyed*** 😒
I do believe she'd rather be like Zendaya who is out promoting her projects and still, simply and openly, talks about her love for Tom 😍 ⬇️ (min. mark 0:30)
2) Look how easy it is to give fan service, even for A-listers.
Below are two, recent interviews where top stars in the biz talk about appreciating fans...
• EB tells Conan about a crazy fan interaction and follows it up by saying: "[I] get to do these things because people watch the things I make. Like, period, full stop. If people didn't care about the stuff that we made, you and me wouldn't get to be here. So, I'm constantly like, thank you so much to anyone who cares to at all to watch it." (Min. mark 46:30) ⬇️
• JBa's interview on Kimmel, (min mark 1:30): "... it's a public job. I want to know if you guys like what's going on. You know, if they got notes I want their notes so I can be better, Jimmy, at my job..." (He goes on to playfully say "Now I will not read comments, you commenters are a sick breed" 🤣)
Bonus: he discusses clickbait w/ untrue gossip (min. mark 2:30) and mentions a similar headline to one L & A had in NYC 🤭 ⬇️
Note: Imo, those who believe SL has been gatekeeping Lukola have a myopic view of the situation/ overinflate Lukola's importance. SL has been supportive of Lukola and liked JM's Easter gift/ post of them dancing. To think they'd purposely withhold Lukola is unnecessary game playing, and for what? To barely show them in S4, create a burden on their image(s), reduce interest and make things difficult when they had fans at their fingertips? It doesn't track...
3) Look how easy it is to spread a false narrative via social media.
A) We have no idea where Lukola is rn as the last real time event N attended was the MFAT screening/ Q & A in London on April 1st.
• Do I think the pic at TJR's b-day party is recent? No. N's hair color is before the strawberry blonde change (and possibly extensions in) and appears to be wearing the dress she wore to JD's Last Days premiere when she was expecting (BN2)... Conveniently, TJR's b-day is also unlisted 😉 ⬇️
• The Galway pics look like latergrams. N appeared to have some free time in March, when weather aligned w/ needing a coat like Beatrice has on, as it's been slightly hotter in April. @municolis also pointed out, the poster is under the "Future Eye" heading, meaning it's upcoming and of course, MFAT is out already now. (Note: N has on the same sweater she wore to the Q & A in London but different from the one she wore to the hospice in Dublin; she does tend to re-wear clothes but it also serves to confuse location) ⬇️
Lukola could have either #1- driven to Galway after JD's play since they were already halfway there (it would have been time for N's 6 week check-up, and close to UK Mother's Day), OR #2- visited after the MFAT premiere... there are 10 days unaccounted for until the Q & A, so recent posts could be latergrams. In fact, today's posts indicate N being in several places at once which is similar to what we saw when she was really in Rome w/ L... so they need to figure out a new playbook if they are trying to hide because this is way too obvious, lol.

***Do I think N did a 180° on astrology in the BM2 interview to downplay her connection to L? Yes, esp. since it was soon after the Elle article came out. It's hard to push a fake bf when a main theme during your very popular (S3) WT was your compatibility w/ your co-star - astrologically & otherwise- and how you match each other's freak. 🤷♂️🤷🏼♀️
Other explanations have been N trying to act more mature or doing it for the role but those are less likely, imo, considering she said she felt 28 (in the Elle article of all places) and it's unrealistic for an actress to change her real- life personality for press per role; moreover, it's out of character for N, as she is a creature of habit and is consistent, if not stubborn, in her opinions... ⬇️
There are many more instsnces if you rewatch the WT like the Still Watching Netflix interview where they guess each other signs and N literally says "I'm a Capricorn" and for L " He's an Aquarius... love an Aquarius" lol.
Lastly, you're not a bad shipper if you get sick of the impersonal project promos or aren't a fan of every project N and/ or L is in. Not every project is created equal, even when you do like the actor(s), and many of us are here first and foremost because we enjoy watching Lukola as a couple. I have confidence we will see them together again sooner than later... 🙏👫👶👶

Okay, so I haven't done a little rant in a while, but when I go into the Lukola tag and see complete nonsense, I'm sorry, but I have to speak up. If you have been following this story for nearly two years, then I really hope by now you have clocked the patterns, you've paid attention to what Luke & Nic have shown us and you have opened your eyes to what has really been going on.
Here's why the " they're doing all this for privacy " theory doesn't work: First of all, Nic started the hints of being TOGETHER with Luke in August 2024( it could have been even earlier but I didn't jump on this ride until that "Chaos Week" in August 2024. And by September I was blogging about these two. And all you have to do is look over the 104 MORSELS that have been compiled to see those hints from them. If they wanted privacy, to keep it all secret, then those hints never would have begun.
And also, have you seen Luke when he has to fulfill an obligation? Check off a box and has to be in proximity of Ant? He is miserable and clearly doesn't want to be a part of it. And I very much like to believe that Nic, his very likely REAL wife would not purposely put him through that.( because I have seen some say that it's Nic wanting to remain private )And I know she hates it too when it is time for him to do one of these - ✅️📃 Do you remember their look, their demeanor from the Netflix & British Vogue part last May? They hated being kept separated that night. Couldn't even interact with each other and not one photo together. That wasn't a choice of theirs, I know. And then again no photos together on BAFTAS night. I actually ranted about that night here because it was so obvious that again they were being kept apart to feed a false narrative:

Then we have L appearing w/ A... as staged and/or as minimized as it is, also: boring! 🥱 It literally looked like a 5-10 min. set-up of them walking down the street, then going their separate ways lol (remember, L sees her maybe 5% of his time)... but if he's going to start looking delighted on these pap walks, it doesn't bode well for his following (although it did appear that he bought bots prior to it, *sigh*). I'm still on the "no choice" track, however, choice or not, the effect is the same: fans call it out, ignore it (w/ lots of eye rolls) and move on... ⬇️
I do think that Lukola is still paying for the "sins" of an earlier time - esp. w/ so much bts coming out of N clearly expecting in S4, w/ the thought A didn't agree to cover for that back then, and A's mom posting about online bullying once again, as we know her family has played a big part in it all (see below***).

As long as the adjacent push continues, it will always to a degree affect them negatively, imo. Lukola encouraged fans to ship them and people who never followed celebs and/ or shipped before came on board not only to watch their undeniable chemistry, but also their soulmate connection which is pure, joyful and inspirational... so, what is currently left of that to see? A few bts crumbs from S4 where we're supposed to ignore the obvious (above) and then... nope, that's literally it. Lol.
When fans have been led astray and gaslit beyond measure, it's human nature to want to course correct and that, we have done. The contradictions and fakery are not subtle... N on SNL UK tonight? Sure, you don't want to do what JB does, lol. ✨️

Don't come on my blog to agree w/ me and then go to another blog that has a completely different theory to agree w/ them. It's offensive. Why? Because there's a camp out there that thinks that Lukola has been playing games and done all this purposely... YET they can never explain the WHY...
The privacy excuse doesn't work when they haven't had any, actually hinted themselves at one point AND there are far simpler, more effective ways to get it. The studio restriction route doesn't track, as no modern actor is owned by a studio (they're all independent contractors!!!), co-stars across all networks in more popular shows w/ bigger roles seamlessly date, marry and/ or have children, AND the adjacent narrative has been detrimental to Lukola - and could have been to S4 had not their teams minimized it (thankfully S4 didn't rely heavily on Polin).
Additionally, to think they have done all of this purposely, you have to disregard one major, undeniable factor in all of this:

And if you think they find this fun and/ or you yourself do, then 1- you've lost the plot and forgotten they are REAL people and/ or 2- you have zero self-respect so as to root for two people who would lie & manipulate to no reasonable end.
W/ that, I've never wavered from what I believe has been the root cause, and I still don't. Imo, we keep getting confirmation the NDA deal is the primary motive. The Guardian article was more proof when it addressed minor grievances that only a select group would know about and only appeased one person...
Lastly, realizing the adjacent narrative is fake/ PR is not the flex you think it is. You're playing right into their hands... you won't ever know what really happened because that's the point of an NDA; it ensures private business remains private. Over the past year, they have taken control of the narrative and avoided far worse (false internet rumors/ accusations from unfriendly 3rd parties, career damaging press, and lawsuits that can take years to get out from under). The worst that's currently circulating is Lukola has hidden their rel./ family for privacy, which celebs do every day... it's the "acceptable" celeb lie, a la Tomdaya.

I'm not here to tell you what to think, but I'm asking you to leave me out of your indecision. If you believe Lukola has purposely chosen such a destructive PR process, trust me, you don't want to read my blog anyway... 👋

I don't have much to say about the S4, Part 2 release when it comes to Lukola except...
Those who can't see that N was expecting in S4 indeed must have their blinders on. In the later episodes, it becomes more blatant as in this scene... ⬇️
Note: One could put N's MFAT & Bridgy S4 clips side-by-side to see the progression. Of course, we don't need to as we followed in real time, *sigh*, but nevertheless...
A few other things about which we got confirmation over the last few days:
1) N is snatched and appears to have bounced back once again after the arrival of BN2. I prefer not to post comparison pics here as it may be a sensitive subject for some so please see them in the "Keep Reading" section below***. This one wasn't a secret either... 🤭
2) L showing up at N's play was purposeful. He could have appeared as her "bestie"/ costar at a number of events over the past year and he hasn't. So what does that tell us? He couldn't and now he can... so we'll have to keep an eye on it, as movement from Lukola is what we're looking for... 👫🤖
Note: Imo, A being there was nbd, as we've always said they will act as if they are all friends. But I think A's taunting behavior at MFW and L's ticked off reaction reiterates the true nature of their association (NDA motivated).
He did seem to manage to have a decent time ⬇️
3) The S4 release reinforces the Lukola holdout wasn't related to its build up... they're not in it together much, and spoiler: they didn't write N's real life pregnancy into the storyline. W/ that, and in retrospect, their Polin pic (w/ tears in their eyes) was more likely about what was going at the time w/ their personal mess... I mean, life 😉

• Many of you have now watched Part 1 of S4 and have differing perspectives on it. That's great! Different strokes for different folks! I've enjoyed all seasons, and as I've previously said, am not here for fan wars. I don't consider myself part of a fandom, per say, but more of a Lukola shipper... Atp, I'm just waiting for those two knuckleheads to launch, lol. 🫶
(Yes N, we know it's real in the show... you were expecting irl in the show 😉)
• W/ that, I think being a bit detached serves one well in analyzing Lukola's S4 situation. And in viewing Part 1, I believe there are reasons that they appear in a limited capacity so far. I will say it again - If you don't acknowledge that N was expecting by the end of the S3 WT, you'll struggle to understand what has gone on, as it seems to inform almost every situation...
2) Polin Protection, not Promotion
How Lukola has shown up (or not shown up) reiterates, imo, how their situation w/ A has had little to do w/ the show. (Still firmly believe it's NDA related).
• It seems certain scenes were edited to hide N expecting. One can see N slightly showing in the (funny!) ice cream scene; L mentioned those scenes were filmed early on. Then, we see just a sliver of Polin at Francesa's dinner party in Ep. 4 which would have been filmed later, around Dec. (w/ N around 7-8 mos... remember the BFAs and Kate Spade event?).

• Lukola isn't being used much to sell S4 - only to the degree of them being the previous leads. Neither have shown up on the S4 WT, N is barely in interviews and L seemed to participate largely to help his image (which he desperately needed). Granted, limited appearances for prior leads is also typical.
Both L & N have used S4 (not the other way around) to sell their brand deals and other projects... L aligned the release w/ his FB ad, Viana promo & new agency annoucement, and N w/ her play, Neutrogena ad & movie.
• We know how much Shonda loves & respects motherhood as per her female leads on other shows (i.e. Ellen Pompeo on Grey's), we know N only had to come in one day a week at some point in the S4 filming process, and a keen Lukola remembered that Shonda edited this season herself... ⬇️
So despite theories of Shonda's intent to exploit Lukola, it seems quite the opposite; the show has respected their privacy.
• Which brings us to Loose Lips Lukey. I do think Part 2 of S4 may hold some surprises. Many of you have noticed L's potential slip up (min. mark 7:00 below). Perhaps an addition to Polin's family/ use of N's real life baby bump is to come; if the casting call was any indication, we'll see a Benophie, Kanthony and (new) Polin baby. ⬇️
3) State of the Lukola Union
• It's an exciting time... anytime Lukola appears on sm together they trend toward 1 mil likes as you can see from their family pic above. L's grid post (which includes the same pic + his thirst trap* lol) is at a half mil rn - the best a post of his has done since the S3 WT. He also had an increase in followers immediately, too.

But keep your wits about you!!! Remember, the adjacents could show up again. I fear if they do then Lukola could end up right back where they started - making it look like they came together to promote the show or moreover their own projects, then pulling the rug out...😠. *Note: I won't be talking about L's thirst trap because I think it's hypocritical. The female actresses complain about being objectified but it's ok to do so to the male actors? Hmmm. Goes both ways (But for another post).
Here we sit, on the precipice of the S4 release and not much has changed for Lukola, except everything - everything, everywhere all at once... projects ramping up for both, a new rep for L, a likely new baba for their little fam, and maybe a few new hints?
We do see more interviews being released w/ them interacting, and L speaking more freely of them, back to his 'ole "Luke my wife Newton" self (just a tad in common w/ Colin 🤭). It was also pointed out that Simon*, the interviewer for the VT promo, inserted the famous TSOT pic. of Lukola in the edit... interesting to say the least. The full interview has not come out yet.

Anyhow, I still believe it's not the adjacents but Lukola who will signal a shift in their status, which remains to be seen. (Always wait for more info., but also keep expectations LOW 🤖!). L does seem to be liking N's posts more quickly, (Ty @lactdiva for mentioning it) as he wasn't doing so for a minute; 7 of her last 9 grid posts now have his "like". Perhaps the delay was due to A having to be the priority or, he could simply be online in spurts...
Likewise, N hasn't been as active liking L's posts until now... granted, L posts remarkably less than N, and N has been busy w/ her play. ⬇️
Also, to stay balanced, it IS still only work for which they are coming together and yes, I do think it's separate from their private lives...
In fact, after L's showing w/ A at PFW (which I believe was a legal concession), I can see why L participated in so many Bridgy interviews w/ his on-screen sisters, who could provide a favourable image. I'm not sure he was required to, esp. after all he & N did for S3, but balancing out the attrition from A is prob. important***. (To note, JB & Simone did the bare minimum after their season, w/ a fraction of the press tour Lukola had 🤷♂️🤷🏾♀️)
Lastly, I've been asked when I think BN2 might arrive and the answer is: your guess is as good as mine! I might be the wrong person to Ask as I don't want to be intrusive... I know! I did follow N's progression closely the 1st time; N flaunted it and I, along w/ many of you, observed what we saw... it was also a major clue to Lukola being together and imo, the glue that held/ still holds the ship together! 🚢👫👶 ⬇️
But now that I believe we have a handle on the truth it's less of a factor, and strong signs of BN2 on the way is just the cherry on top 🍒👩🍼👨🍼. Also, it's harder to tell since N disappeared this past summer and we didn't see her in real time for 3-4 mos. One may be able to compare it to BN1 to get an idea... that's all I got!
Finally, we can't control when Lukola may launch, what they will share or what happens regarding future adjacent sightings/ fakery (unfortunately, I do believe N's denials were made to last a while). Just remember L's outings w/ A occupy maybe 5% of his time and JD by all accounts is a legit part of N's friend group. 🌈
As always, protect your peace 🙏. It's not pleasant to see N breaking down at the untruths she's had to tell, and/ or seeing L's misery around A - esp. juxtaposed to his joy around wifey even sitting above her interviews. Nor is it fun to see the immediate online disapproval he endures ⬇️

Re: Viana
L's appearance has made many think it wasn't in real time. His beard & hair are different from PFW, and there were several posts of studio recordings / the cast doing voice work around Jan. 10-13 per the "Viana" IG page. It would be a valid reason why L missed the S4 Paris premiere on the 14th.
There was no announcement of a "Viana" press event and all the interviews were held in what looked like a studio w/ no audio on the videos, so it could easily have been latergrams. Meanwhile, Lukola could be elsewhere rn w/ N on break from her play.

It's a running joke that Lukola will be paying for shippers' therapy bills but to that point, it's been rough waters for quite some time now so it's a good idea to be like Lukey Newts and take periodic breaks from sm. We're in control of our consumption/ what we allow in!
This past week has been alot of S4 promo and there's been various reactions to it. The ones I've noticed most are: #1- being glad to see Polin since there's no public Lukola rn (N did mention, despite her denials, fans still have the show, but more on that later***), #2- whining because there's no Lukola interviews and/ or not enough Lukola in Ep 1., or #3- fans staying neutral and looking forward to S4 as a whole.

If you"ve achieved #3 (neutrality), congrats! You can enjoy S4 unfettered. As for the #1s & 2s, I feel you! I know the fakery of the past 19 mos. can be super frustrating but perspective matters... S4 is not Polin's lead season so they will appear less, on screen & in interviews (JB & Simone did little to no press together for S3). Polin can't replace Lukola; as real as it may appear, it's still their job. To me, what proves they're together is what we saw on the WT, and BN1 (and likely BN2 on the way... 😉)
***Now on to N's statements in the Guardian article, which I'm admittedly late analyzing. It's all so cringe I had a hard time getting to it, and the lack of cohesive writing/ flat out misinformation makes it hard to take seriously. I know N is aware of its contents but I still believe she didn't have a choice. It also backfired, making fans more skeptical and sure of Lukola than ever. (See below for full breakdown).
I think we'll know more about how Lukola intends to handle this long term in the next few mos. w/ what will be obviously showing on screen for Pen in S4 and once again, in real life for N (even w/ out the SD, the curtain call stomach touches are doing her no favors...)

Breaking it down one controversial paragraph at a time...
1) "Parasocial fans"
• N never says fans are being a specific type of parasocial, the journalist does. N is quoted as saying is that "... with Bridgerton, it's a different beast" but doesn't elaborate how.
• N states that is doesn't mean anything by the colour of a jumper she puts on, but mentions nothing else... nothing about her posts, follows, likes or interviews. In fact, the journalist doesn't clarify what the clues were for (you're supposed to assume it means about Lukola being a couple).
• The journalist talks about L & his "girlfriend", N doesn't. And then what follows is patently false... about fans being upset after photos of them from an alleged summer holiday. 🙄 The fallout was from the original papgate* and then the fakery over the past year also had people periodically dropping off/ unfollowing them/ canceling Netflix.
*Note: for those who weren't around for papgate, "Lukola" was a big deal by the end of the WT, then L appeared w/ A in pap pics hours before Part 2 was released giving fans a massive bad taste. Many felt manipulated, like they sold Lukola for views which was unnecessary; if L had a gf, they still would have watched. It was the principle of it.
• The secret baby has NOT been a secret and that has been abundantly clear. Watching Polin in S4 only reconfirms that fact so thanks for the tip that's it's real in the show... We know. 😉

2) Fans weren't following N around, the Paps were
• Per the journalist, N was photographed about her day by anyone w/ a camera phone. Really? Was she though? Unless there's something we don't know, only one video was taken by a Jakola fan in NYC when she & JD were walking out of a theater in broad daylight on a public street w/ no expectation of privacy. Prior to that, she had posted about her arriving flight in her IG story. (It had already been announced she'd be there for the Time Next100 event)
• It was the paps who followed her from the pub on a public street in her neighborhood "trying to find out where she lived". The real time video, not photos, were in NYC (see above). We know that Tif & friends admitted to looking in Luke's flat, but that would have nothing to do w/ N's house in Hackney. Thanks for the totally conflating times, places & events Charlotte Edwardes... ground breaking journalism there!
3) Blame the Paps!
• First interview in a year? W/ in the past year, N did several video interviews for the SAGs, in-person interviews for the SAGs and the Baftas ceremonies, a magazine interview for the Emmys (that came out post Fastnet), and 4 paid speaking engagements - Neutrogena, Cannes, Snap Forward and Fastnet - 2 of which sold tix to the public. 🤷🏼♀️
• Whilst I can imagine being followed was a high anxiety situation, one must note that measures didn't appear to be taken to increase security (aside from the hot security guard at PFW) or for N to be less publicly visible. W/ that, many attribute N's crying during the interview to other factors like having to be disingenuous (which she previously said she couldn't be) and having to deny her husband & child, not to mention likely having a 2nd child on the way. 😞
• More on the tears: over a man from Brighton on MAFS? Um.... then mention of the Oasis concert, which perhaps was supposed to make us think she went w/ JD to see them in Manchester. But Oasis played a concert on Aug. 31 & Sept 1 in NJ, when we believe N was w/ L in NYC, and L had a night off from HOM. It was literally a hop skip & a jump for them to go, and let's not even talk about the lyrics to Wonderwall... ♡ 👫
• When you've met your Wonderwall maybe you do second guess your career trajectory. Perhaps a frenzied celeb life becomes less important than one w/ work-life balance that makes room for family, a la the Winnie the Pooh post that L liked. N never says what about the intensity of Bridgerton made her rethink things. She mentions she doesn't know if she could be "huge" like JB yet doesn't say what about it she couldn't do, and says she can't work in bad environments. The journalist then brings in the public eye and trolls despite N not explicitly connecting it to that topic.

4) Alot of sm info. is not timely...
• Sometimes I get the impression that this article was supposed to come out last year, around the time of A's image rehab and all the pap incidents of '24. It's like it got put on hold and they never updated the old info. and just added on new stuff... 🤦🏼♀️. Anyone who has followed closely for the past year doesn't even have to take a second look to know N hasn't retreated from sm, LOL. Maybe the journalist is mistaking N for her co-star husband 😉
• N's charity work has been/ is tremendous but she hasn't been using her IG platform primarily to raise money for charity... in a year's time, 11 out of her 60 grid posts have been charity related - that's 18-19% of her posts this past year. Instead, she has literally used it to promote every new project she has had, including a slew of brand deals. Girl.
• Wearing the Ceasefire pin was a bold statement during the WT, and very commendable but also, not new. Since then, Artists for Ceasefire signed a new petition (Sept. of '24, which N participated in) providing support en masse. By April of '25, N was focused on trans rights, along w/ other celebs, against JK Rowling. N's stances align w/ the majority in her industry to where the only person she'd may have to worry about not hiring her atp is JK, w/ whom she said she wouldn't work w/ anyway.
• N's IG attrition is nowhere near current in this article... she had 2.5 mil. followers while doing Derry Girls and starting Bridgerton. She probably did lose close to a quarter of million followers but then added 3.5 mil. w/ the Bridgy S3 WT and release. She has a whole team curating her profile, making sure she doesn't dip below 6 mil, and has been more than able to capitalize on her brand deals which is all she did for 8 mos. before announcing a new project 😬
As you may know, I've been laying low as the adjacent narrative is all so predictable/ uneventful and there isn't much to get excited about for Lukola - until they reveal the truth, of course, and there's no way to anticipate when that will be...
However, I will say that N doing the SD***, plus the S4 release may bring to light more than one thing that won't be so secret... but that's not my mess to unravel and I do always root for them to have a smooth reveal. I don't forget why I rooted for them in the 1st place; I'm simply waiting for them to get it together before I engage too heavily again. As one of L's fave characters says...

Anon, I did wonder why N didn't just repost the "Pen & Elliot" post from Netflix Bridgerton but I suppose it gave her more control to put it anew on her grid in terms of reducing negative comments and/ or boosting it. We know the autobots have been working hard on her profile for a while now! Lol. But Idk if that's the case for the likes on the post... N hasn't done 1 mil likes on a post in over a year - imo, because she hasn't posted her & L (or Polin) w/ whom she consistently trended toward 1mil likes so... their onscreen baby is about as close as one can get! 🤭
It slightly surpassed some of the other posts on Bridgerton Netflix, but the first S4 promo did almost 1mil (900k) and the last one of Benophie did 783k (the recent one of Polin just 483k). Every book has its own following (I'm a sucker, I like all of them 😉) but the last Bridgy couple seems to possess a residual buzz, so Polin should still be a bit of a help w/ the GA, if nothing else ⬇️
⬆️ So yes!!! Of course enjoy S4 promo esp. if you're able to put aside the personal life b.s. or even if you can't... because the baby actor playing Elliot is ADORABLE!!! But don't assume Lukola is in the clear... Let's remember Hannah, Yerin, Michelle and Oli all reposted the Polin promo in their stories but Lukola themselves didn't (referring to the promo of Polin kissing), and I don't think that was a mistake... As @municolis pointed out...
I also believe by N posting her & baby E, it was a "look at my onscreen baby not what's going on w/ me again in real life...". (Too late, we already noticed, Nic lol). Additionally, let's not forget A has been setting up a Christmas in Cyprus for her & L and the EOY dumps still have yet to arrive. So we're not out of the woods yet...
Not saying it's anything to worry about because it will be more of the same shite different day but just a gentle reminder that the only thing that launches Lukola is Lukola themselves. (Or an unsuspecting pap pic 😉). 📸

Haven't addressed this for a bit, so time to dig in again. As I stated 6 mos. ago (it's still pinned!), Lukola lost the plot, and I still think that's the case but tack on some additional chaos. When N is interviewing a Nobel peace prize winner and L is followed by a famous director's up & coming daughter YET they're still dealing w/ the adjacents they look unserious. It's been an incongruent narrative for a while now and the respectability they used to command, w/ all respect, is on a downward spiral...
The fakery...
So many people are aware of what's going on that actually resolving the fakeness seems silly atp. Why would they need to break-up w/ partners they're not together w/ in the 1st place? Plus, the fact that A gets periodically scrubbed from L's SEO and their profiles are carefully curated - from pics to comments - should tell you it was never about privacy. (If you *still* think that, go back & review the timelines... unfortunately, there's still time! Lol)
And so we come to today... when N reposted the annoucement of JD's new role in the Kurt Cobain opera and used the term "my love"...
Terms of endearment...
Does her caption indicate romance w/ JD? Um... no. JD didn't suddenly become straight, and as shown by @frantastical, N used the same term on a b-day post for another gay bestie of hers, JR. She has expressed affection for her gay friends - JR and JVN to name few - by utilizing phrases that include the word love quite frequently... ⬇️
The Blind items
Best case scenario, N was simply giving JD a boost since he's helped out so much; worst, gearing up for more shenanigans. Regardless, I don't believe it was in response to the Oct. 13 blind item, as #1- They typically "respond" (aka overcompensate) w/in days, like they did to the Aug. blinds, and #2- it seems N responded already, although it was somewhat buried w/ Bridgy S4 press starting. The sequence was as follows:
• Oct. 13 - Blind item from CDAN likely referring to N
• N posted a story of a dinner w/ JD pictured
• Oct. 16 - N liked the "Crossroads" post
Note: L's NYC dump came out days later (Oct. 21st), and N was likely aware it was coming.
Where does this leave us???
Speculating as to their next move or when a Lukola launch may be is a futile endeavour rn. They lost the plot when Round 2 started at Boss w/ "Let's get this done"... now there's zero through line, rather getting it done followed by damage control. Rinse & repeat.
Bottomline: It's not a sign until Lukola takes a step forward... which is why w/out patience/ detachment/ finding other things of interest to bide your time, it's virtually impossible to see this through... ✌️🕊🧘♀️
In conclusion:
The state of the Lukola Union is: Holding the line. Status quo. "Girls, Gays & Luke" but we're only getting girls & gays rn... waiting for Luke.
The PR fakery has been coined as a study of what not to do at the pinnacle of your career, but hopefully in the end, it will be a study of how to win back your fan base after going through a difficult legal situation bts....
It is migraine inducing, Swan! Idk if they are pushing harder than ever (nothing can top the Baftas for me, from nom party to ceremony) but it's certainly more of the same. I know you wanted to see a change after making that beautiful WT poster for L to sign at the stage door and seeing him light up; I loved those moments that showed authentic, happy L vs. performative, stoic L. ♡ But alas, we're still at an impasse...
Some have thought they we're moving away from the adjacents because A's attitude has been worse than usual lol. That could be interpreted as her being resentful if things are ending for her. @kathynyc17 noted what we've seen from her lately ⬇️
(Props to having 1 million things to do, btw... may we all have 1 million things to occupy us until the day comes 🙏 🚢💪).
As I said in my last post, it's difficult to anticipate anything rn and I know letting go is the hardest part, but I don't think there will be any signs until Lukola is actually launching. There's no need for distancing from their "amicable" covers nor do they need to delete their pics if "we're all friends" (and it's the only option they have left w/ a 9 mo. old BN) 🤷🏼♀️
As for Bridgy S4 press, it only matters in so much as if L is done w/ his obligations or not. If he is, you may see Lukola not caring as much about how they come off. If he isn't, then N may keep JD on call to buffer any "vibe" between her & L... BUT in that case, we'll also see L continue to give A publicity - another appearance, post, article, etc. *sigh*
Luke did archive some posts (D-Section mag, F1 + 3 HOM posts. @carylmeanslove has it nicely documented on her blog). Prior to that, he did away w/ the "Lee" pics from when he announced HOM. I wouldn't read too much into it for now since L has a lot coming out in 2026, as does N who we saw streamline her profile, too. 1) Destry Spielberg
You already covered the possibility of a new project for L & Pierce Bros. in your post @frantastical and yes Destry is following in the footsteps of her Dad, Steven Spielberg 🎬. However, Destry also spends alot of time in the East Village w/ her New Yorker bf (who is a basketball fan like L) and they were back & forth there all summer... ⬇️
2) Lily Houghton
...indeed is a Manhattan based playwright per her bio. Her late Father started the off- Broadway theater, Signature Theater Co.* in Hell's Kitchen (the same area where L rehearsed for HOM). She also works midtown w/ off-Broadway's Ensemble Studio Theater. ⬇️

Additionally, Lily got married this past weekend, and N's long time friend, Dani Rait, attended the wedding. Interestingly, Dani previously worked as an talent exec. for SNL but was recently hired on by A24 to head programming for none other than The Cherry Lane Theater, which we know was one of N's first follows this summer*** 🤭) ⬇️
Previously, N also followed Mitch Wood who posted at Cherry Lane***. Today, he reposted a pic w/ Busy Phillips who lives in NYC; Lukola attended ERK's Chaos dinner w/ Busy last year.
