'Happily-ever-after's are hard fought and won.
"Oh, heart that I love so dearly, now that I have fully discharged my duties towards you, all that remains to be done is to bring my soul and unite it with yours."

Women in Florence are on another level!
Generations of powerful women who deserve to be remembered and revered.
The Feminist Revolution in Italy
Missing the city but loving the peace of the countryside.

Married life will have its own battles, but I have faith that after the story ends, they will persevere.
The story of Ghismonda and her lover Guiscardo is not well-known in paintings, but has been well covered, most recently by Hogarth.
One of my *Fiammetta's* stories! Ghismonda and Guiscardo were an unlikely pair but in love nevertheless.
A tragic love story...
