fictively
itâs good to settle down.
Koi city was very lively and full of life and color but also serene which is exactly what Mimi needed in this stage of her life. The city reminded her a lot of Venice, Italy which sheâs been to before. Sheâs had the pleasure of traveling all over the world due to her lifestyle that her family was happy to provide for her. Also being a former digidestined had some of its perks. Mimi had a ton of bags delivered to her new apartmentâs door. All of them were full of outfits, shoes, makeup, all the knick knacks and stuff she collected over the years. Itâs the usual for a girl like her. She checked her surroundings and she could smell the restaurants around her and the sound of people chit-chatting as they walked near the river in the middle of the city. She smiled to herself while holding a big vase in the crook of her arm. The vase was a sky blue with clouds painted on it and it was full of fresh white lilies. They were for her new roommate who hadnât arrived just yet, or maybe he did? She wasnât sure. All she knew was that she was excited to meet him so she bought him something to make him comfortable.
âI hope he likes flowers! Even if he doesnât, itâs always nice to have a little decoration to make a place your own!â Her voice was booming as she turned the doorknob to the apartment. âIâm home!~â She spoke in a sing song voice as she entered the lovely apartment. Her eyes sparkled as she saw how nice the layout was. Everything was clean and in itâs place, the colors were pleasant and there was enough space for most, if not all of her stuff. She went into the dining room and left the vase full of flowers right in the middle of it. Putting her hands on her hips while she looked around.
âI guess⊠he isnât here yet?â She shrugged. She wasnât too worried about it because she would meet him later. After all, the guy needs a place to sleep right? She could feel her stomach rumbling, she was starving after the long journey. Since her roommate wasnât here yet, maybe he was starving too. This gives her an excuse to scope out the kitchen and make herself something to eat.
âOkay letâs see hereâŠâ Mimi was knocking over pots and pans and looking for ingredients to cook with. She found some pasta, some chocolate sauce, one orange and some powdered sugar. Thatâs all they have? Well⊠she makes a note to herself to go shopping later! For now, this will do.
âMama always told me the way into a personâs heart is through their stomach⊠and I only learn from the best.â She hummed as she started boiling the spaghetti and threw the thick chocolate liquid into a saucepan and a sticky sweet scent covered the entire apartment. She tasted the warm chocolate sauce and decided that it needed some more flavor.
âThis should do it⊠This is going to taste amazing! Papa would be so proud!â She started to peel the one orange she had and put the peels into the chocolate sauce and put a pinch of salt in it. She swayed her hips to the sound of her own voice and thought about what her roommate would be like. Was he the nice type? Quiet? The Smart type? It didnât matter to her, she was glad to make a new life for herself after years of fighting monsters and protecting the world from evil.
âEverything will be fineâŠâ She closed her eyes for a minute before continuing. Her heart sped fast with excitement but she continued making the special meal for her and her potential new friend.
The sun presents itself high up in the sky like it always is, as if it is grinning in a mocking manner as it spreads its warmth across the planet. The day is pleasant, smells like the beginning of the youthful whirlwind of love, akin to the sensation that comes alongside with the birth of a first crush.Â
But if youâre Kumagawa Misogi and you want to be blunt about the situation, you could say itâs just plainly disgusting.Â
The sheer negative aura exuding from the boy who walked nonchalantly and aimlessly through the streets had been enough to send people running, make some other people cry, and a small fraction just look at him in confusion as if the devil itself had walked past them. No one is counting, but on his way âhomeâ, over thirty people had suffered the impact from his obnoxiously negative presence.Â
The door opens quietly, enough for her to listen to the weak creaking sound. Thereâs a smell of tasty food coming from the kitchen (still being made, he assumes) that lures him in, stepping closer-- being greeted by the colorful figure of a girl that irradiated waves of pure plus.
(He hates her already.)
In the first fraction of a second, Mimi can see an expression of pure hatred, anger, all the negative emotions welling up in his boyish face at once. In the next, heâs grinning, full of bloody rainbows and greyscale sunshines.Â
Mimi mightâve noticed, by now, that he is not the quiet type, or the smart type, or any type at all. If anything, he is the ârun the fuck away or youâll end up dying a thousand timesâ type.Â
By the way, doesnât it feel like something just pierced her head violently? No. Itâs all fiction.
ăOH, WHAT IS THIS? PERHAPS THE NINE THOUSAND CORPSES IâVE SACRIFICED HAVE GIVEN ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO FINALLY LIVE THE DREAM? WHOâD HAVE KNOWN IâD EVER GET TO EAT A HOMEMADE BENTOU FROM A CUTE GIRL LIKE IN THE MANGAS?ă He exclaims, beams, clasps his hands together and approaches the girl while still keeping his own distance. Misogi is like a clown, or the eccentric host of an american TV show, gesticulating like an excited schoolboy.
ăOH! I HAVENâT INTRODUCED MYSELF, HAVE I?ăÂ
All smiles, using a mask of gentleness so fake it could feel genuine-- holds a hand out as the other rests against his chest, dirty sapphires staring at her so intensely itâs as if they could burn through her existence.
ăKUMAGAWA YUKI, ITâS NICE TO MEET YOU! IâM KUMAGAWA MISOGIâS TWIN BROTHER! JOKE. IâM ACTUALLY MISOGI! AH, YOU MUST BE MY WAIFU FOR LAIFU, YES? PLEASE TREAT ME NICELY.ă
