Estrada, Joseph:
“ you know what i think? i think this is all BULLSHIT –– i cough a little, sneeze a little, and the next thing i know my ass is in QUARANTINE. jesus, give me a tissue and i’ll be fine, y’know? ” ( @fidcm )
‘ I understand it might seem ridiculous ---- ---- but I really think this is for the greater good. ’
JENNA ALTIERI:
It was strange, even as Jenna began to cry, even as she felt her tears stain the shoulder of her closest friend, she felt in no way vulnerable like she had before. Instead, she felt reassured and safe, as if her emotions were valid and she wasn’t a complete monster for feeling the way she did. “ I just –––– –– I left Jasper and even after what he did… It wasn’t right… I should’ve practiced forgiveness… And now Joel is gone and I can’t–––– ––– ”
‘ Jenna, ’ She said gently, rubbing the other’s back as she held her. ‘ Don’t dwell on the past. Think about the present. In the present ---- ---- what is your relationship with Jasper? Is there anything you can do about Joel? If the answer is “good” and “no”, then there’s nothing left for you to worry about. Remember that. ’

TAG DUMP !!
JENNA ALTIERI:
“ I’m –––– –– ” Jenna had been so used to lying, so used to painting on her smile and acting as if she were anything but frail on the inside. It had been months since she’d been able to be honest, months since she’d seen her only confidant and closest friend, months since she’d done anything besides make her cheeks hurt from copious amounts of falseness. “ Physically, I’m okay… ” She murmured, head dropping as Sofia took a step back, unable to look her in the eyes, “ but my brothers… They were here, or they ARE here, one of them is… The other one… He left but… I don’t know where he is and I never––– –– We never–––– ” She sniffles, feeling tears building and being reluctant to let them fall, “ I’m just happy you’re here. ”
‘ Hey, ’ Her voice was low, comforting, as she pulled the younger woman in for another hug, this time keeping the blonde enveloped in her embrace. ‘ Hey. Don’t ... don’t think about things like that. Not right now. REMEMBER that nothing your brothers do is your fault, and none of what they do reflects on you ----- you owe them nothing, even if you love them. You don’t have to be happy about something all the time, Jenna. Not even this. It’s okay to cry. ’
DAPHNE LENNON:
‘ thanks, i guess? ——– i’m daphne. & i don’t really pay attention to any of them. ‘
‘ That’s fine, too, I suppose. Though I like to people watch. INTERACTING, however ... is a little harder, I think. It’s nice to meet you, though, Daphne. ’
NIKOLAS TOLES:
“ –– – did you just quote THE BIBLE at me? i’m atheist; save your chipper church talk for the birds. ”
‘ You can still listen to the POSITIVITY in the good book even if you don’t believe in God, you know. ’
AYASHA MARRIN:
❝ i do not believe in something as RUDIMENTARY as fate , merely being in the right place at the right time — COINCIDENCE . ❞
‘ Don’t you think there’s a reason for EVERYTHING? For the things that happen ---- for us? ’
JENNA ALTIERI:
She turned, eyes growing wide as a sudden, sweeping emotion fell over her. Familiarity, comfort, safety, things she hadn’t felt since arriving. “ Sofia? ” And, perhaps uncharacteristically to anyone that had grown to know her in the past few months, the blonde rushed forward, arms outstretched as she pulled her friend into a hug. “ I thought you… I don’t know what I thought, I’m just glad you’re okay… ”
‘ Jenna, ’ she repeated, arms enveloping around the younger, breathing a sigh of relief that she wasn’t sure how long she had been holding ---- ---- but she felt as if it had been INHALED since the last time she has seen the blonde. ‘ You’re okay, right? ’ Quickly, worry edged into her voice, and she took a step back from the other, grasping her arms and looking at the other attentively.
DAPHNE LENNON:
‘ —– i wasn’t being serious. i mean, if you really want to, sure. i don’t own the chair. ‘
‘ Sorry! I figured you were a little OLD to have an imaginary friend, but --- --- I decided not to burst your bubble if you still did. I’m Sofia, it’s nice to meet someone with a sense of humour. Everyone here is so SERIOUS, don’t you think? ’
JENNA ALTIERI:
@fidcm !
She’s not really paying attention, mind more focused on other things, thing she was sure she’d long since forgotten. She’s so lost in thought she hardly hears the approaching footsteps, no matter how familiar they might be, and offers only a mumbled apology, forgetting to turn around. “ Sorry, I’ll, um… Be with you in a second… ”
She was quiet for a moment, as REALISATION swept over her and a familiar voice filled her ears, no matter how faint they were ----- ----- they were hers, she was sure of it. ‘ Jenna? ’ Her voice was low & soft, a gentle coercion to turn around --- to see her! --- versus something brash born out of shock.
DAPHNE LENNON:
‘ the fact that you think i’m sitting alone is very offensive to my imaginary friend who’s clearly right next to me. ‘
‘ Oh! Yeah! Of course! I just ... didn’t see them there. May I sit with ... both of you? ’
NIKOLAS TOLES:
“ Then I guess I don’t have many friends. ”
‘ Well, that doesn’t sound true! EVERYONE has friends ---- ---- or at least, everyone deserves them. John 15:13 --- --- Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You might not need to lay down your life, but someone you make sacrifices for is a friend of yours. ’
