So, have you seen these things?

These are some "toys" for the movie that are apparently being sold in Happy Meals, as you do.

Mostly they have what you expect from the movie, all the reappearing figures from the trailer. However, there's one of them that stands out to me; Birdo.

As of right now, we haven't really seen too much of Birdo in the trailers so far; Her inclusion in this set makes me think she might have a semi-major role in the movie. Given the inclusion of other characters From Super Mario Bros. 2, She may be working for Wart/Mamu from that game (who himself might be working for Bowser, perhaps). Perhaps a heel-face turn in which she joins the protagonists is in order? Or a scene in which she meets up with Yoshi for the first time?

Oh, and in a perfect world, I would like to see at least a little bit of trans acknowledgement with Birdo. An arc in which she comes to terms with who she is would be utterly fantastic, but even something small, like the casting of a trans voice actor, would be enough for me. :)

Reblogging this cuz I'm a bit worried that we didn't see anything about her in the final trailer. Perhaps they're just trying to play it safe with the advertisement by not including her too much? Cuz if so that uh... that kinda sucks.

...aaand she got zero lines. Nothing. She was in a movie in which her significant other was a major character, and never interacted with him at all, let alone spoke a single word.
