I used to enjoy meeting new people and having new *ahem* "experiences", but the life of an adult is a demanding one. So now I just mostly stay here in my log cabin with my freeloaders. That is the question of the moment for everyone, isn’t it? I honestly don’t know right now. I have zero interest in other mainstream platforms (Twitter, IG) which are already very restrictive and likely to get more restrictive once they are inundated with Tumblr refugees.
Fetlife is okay, I guess, but I’ve had an account since nearly the beginning and still don’t use it often so that tells me it probably isn’t the option for me. Though I will use it to link up with those I miss from here. Snap and Kik are too one-on-one for my social awkwardness most of the time. My username on all three, by the way, is kinkylilfatgirl (damn character limits!)… but I don’t use them much now and doubt that will change.
BDSMlr is a maybe. I had high hopes back when it first opened that it might become the kink alternative to Tumblr that it seemed to want to be. It still needs work, and they are having some issues with the increased traffic right now. But if they can get things worked out, it seems an option. Especially because I would really like something very similar to Tumblr. It fits my anxiety perfectly to be able to interact on different levels depending on where I am on the messyhead spectrum that day.
I’m very keen to check out both @dominantlife‘s proposed alternative and pillowfort when those are available.
And I’m open to other options as I hear about them, as well. Wherever I go, you will find me as either kinkylittlefatgirl or kinkylilfatgirl if the limit is too short for it in full.
I am going to miss so many of you. Many of whom don’t even know we are friends, but I do consider you friends.
Also trying out Sharesome. Like other smaller sites which are being inundated with Tumblr refugees, it is running a bit slow at the moment but they’ve said they are working on it.
Not fully sold on it, but at this point I’m just trying out everything and hoping something sticks.
Now on Pornhub, but same as with Sharesome, it is all porn (duh) so it can be fun for occasional showing off, but it doesn’t really work as a Tumblr substitute for me. Also tried MeWe but definitely not feeling it. It feels like a hookup app.
Okay, FINE-UHHH. I made a Twitter. kinkylilfatgirl because fucking character limits. Maybe I just need to make the official change to that spelling now that almost everywhere else I’m forced to use the ‘lil’.
Probs not gonna actually use it but I don’t want to lose a couple of people who aren’t on anything else I use. Who knows, though. I might just go full political account. :cP
