“You know I think I would prefer someone completely wrecking my sense of fashion and looks instead of this. Why would you even do this to a complete stranger.” Chester never knew puns, he never had to deal with them until now and he was currently debating if they were worth to kill.

“H-hurt??-” Kain meekly repeated before Kain grabs onto his wrist.
The young wizardmon nearly tumbles as Chester tugs him along. He grabs onto his hat before rapidly looking back at his partner and back at the digimon.
He wanted to say “Please don’t drag me away” or “Can you tell us what’s going on” or “Dani I think this is the danger stranger” but he instead just stammered out “D-a-n-i” as he was getting dragged away.
Luckily, she quickly came to the rescue. “W-wh- Whoa wait a minute!”
Dani quickly scrambled over, clutching onto Kain’s cloak so that she wouldn’t be left behind once they reached the treeline.
“Excuse me! You can’t just drag my friend away !” Dani called out to Chester “You could at least ask us to help or tell us what’s going on at least!”
“W-We could talk it over a granola bar!” Kain pipes up a little, not sounding to enthusiastic about this situation. “Like.. .Uh who are your friends! What do they look like? Do they have names?” What can we do to avoid fighting? he wanted to ask but it only came out as stammers again. “Y-you weren’t serious about the whole… beheading thing, right?”
Chester looked back to the wizardmon who gave little to no resistance being pulled by him “Yeah, I mean hurt. You know, a fight.” He stopped pulling as he felt a tug from the other side, the human pulling at the digimon to stop him from being taken. Bright blue eyes locked onto the human giving a frown “Well your little friend here didn’t say no or anything. I just assumed he was up for it.” he put bluntly before he released his grip on the other mon.
“Didn’t think I’d need to explain with the whole smoke billowing from the forest and everything.” he explained “Their names are gargomon and astamon. I’d think you thick in the head for asking if I’m serious about the whole beheading thing.”
“Of course I’m serious and I’m currently on a timer.”

“I think we can both agree the goggles is what makes it? I mean they’re cool.”
He lightly poked at daisuki’s jacket while staring at it “Where’d you get that though, I want that.”

The duo walked for maybe less then five or so minutes, chatting away, in the middle of splitting a granola bar with each other, when Kain paused in his tracks. Dani immediately noticed her friend had stopped moving and she looked towards him, snack in her mouth. “You ok?” She asks, pulling the bar form her mouth to speak. Kain peers towards the nearby woods, scoping his hands around his eyes and squinting in the distance. “I think I smell smoke?” He replies “I think it’s smoke? Digital smoke?” He pauses as he thinks. The only smoke he recalls was smoke from the human world. It smelt the same on this side, suppose it makes sense it would. Still odd to himself. He hadn’t been here since he was just a very low level after all. “Smoke? You mean like a fire?” She stands beside her companion, imitating his scoping method although she used it to get the sun out of her eyes. She did see very faint plumes either beyond the treeline or in it. From their position it was hard to tell. “Mnn… You think we should do in there?” She looks down at the Wizardmon. “What if it’s a wild fire?” “It probably isn’t, if it were it might be like the ones back in your home. With the big black stacks of smoke that darken the sky.” He replies, putting a finger on his obscured chin. “Maybe. I think we should-” Kain looks back up to Dani and realizes she’s already begun to move forwards towards the treeline. He quickly holds onto his hat and scrambles to catch up. “H-Hey Dani! Hold on! We don’t know what’s in there!” He calls out to her “Besides, we could get lost! We need to head back before dark, remember?” The girl nods as Kain babbles out his concerns but her focus was on her digivice, it had begun to blink at a faster pace. “Kain, I think something’s coming.” Dani says as she stops and looks at the tree line. Kain himself immediately stops his babbles, looks at the digivice then at the treeline. Quietly the Wizardmon takes a step forward and pulls his staff from his cape, just in case of the unexpected. They both could hear the sound of something moving through the underbrush coming closer and closer.
Until eventually another Wizardmon (Dani assumed but wasn’t sure) seemed to jump from the treeline, rolling and laughing. And apparently yelling out profanities. Kain cringed at the word as Dani stared at the rolling digimon and looked at her digivice. It was no longer blinking and the screen was white. It was at this moment she realized the other Wizardmon was on fire? Oh, no yeah that it definitely fire. “Huh.” she looked at Kain who in turn looked back at her, seemingly solved the mystery.
They both leap out of their skin when he suddenly stopped and pointed at them (Or rather, Dani as she noticed) and exclaiming that they didn’t belong here. “Wh-ha- Whoa hold on a moment-” “Wait a second here we weren’t-” They both start, Dani flailing her hands around and Kain holding up his arms as a gesture of non-hostility. “We weren’t going to walk in the forest if that’s what your asking!” Dani says “We looking for something! Like Uh-” “There was smoke!” Kain chimes in “We saw smoke and we thought maybe something was going on but we didn’t know if we could even go in there!”
The flame wizardmon with one quick movement got to his feet, squatting now but seeming ready for anything. Now it could be seen now that he’s not obscured by the grass he himself is pretty scarred and roughed up. His clothes not in peak condition and there was no hiding of his stitched mouth. He piratically screamed VIRUS with no apology or concern.
“Well, I’d sure hope you’re not dumb enough to go in there. There’s a bunch of stupid weedmon who are pissed off and ready to behead any digimon they come across. Which. Is not my fault!” Chester tilted his head at them hearing the two stammer, squinting at them as he thought about something. Mostly he had his eyes on the strange looking wizardmon. THE HUMAN THOUGH...
That thing was shady, at least from...what he’s heard. If that was a human. .... He stood still for a good long while as his eyes seemed to light up realizing he was on a timer again.
“OH SHIT! wait.” Chester finally stood up and ran over to the two since he had to close the space between them. He grabbed Kain by the wrist, his hands feeling hot to the touch but not enough to burn. “Hey, you. You, yes.” he said with a serious tone “You know how to hurt a digimon bad right? Okay so, like, we’re going into this forest even though that’s what I said was dumb and we’re going to plow through it to get to...” He cut off as he looked over at Dani for a moment then looking back to Kain “I gotta go get my boss and coworker out of there and I don’t know where I came from in there.” The flame wizardmon didn't really wait for Kain to respond though before he went to drag him into the treeline without Dani
