This is a personal character, Piit, who is a distant descendant of the Merpeople in my fictional universe. While he carries many human qualities, his recessive genes give him several defining Merperson characteristics.

I wanted to play with the idea of a realistic descendant of mythical characters; see how far I could push them while still keeping in the bounds of realism.
