These are the days I’m going to miss most.
We both got in an hours worth of sleep before venturing off to find a spot to watch the airplanes take off.
Our first destination was the aviation museum and it was right in front of the runway, which in all actuality would have been smarter to stick around there rather than finding a new spot, but whatever.
We eventually found the spot we were originally looking for and we sat out there waiting for a flight to take off at 5:15am, but unfortunately we weren’t at the right take off strip, so we basically sat on the pavement looking at the bright lights and taking pictures for about an hour.
We didn’t get to see a single plane take off in front of us, instead we got to watch the sun rise.
We ended up driving and parking in an apartment complex and walked down to a wooden path, and the sky looked so beautiful.
We got back home at about 7am, after being out since 3:30am and got a much needed sleep.
All of that, I would love to say was one of the most well spent days of my summer, and it was with my love, and I would not have wanted it any other way.
…. So here it is, I’m going to miss the days of waking up early or staying up all night, and getting to be with the one person who brings out the absolute best in me.
I’m going to miss the smiles and the laughs and even the petty arguments because they always end in lessons learned and more smiles.
And hell, we’ve got a lot to learn, and it’s going to be difficult to learn some things with me being halfway across the country, but I believe that we will grow and develop an even stronger relationship, a stronger connection.

I’m thinking about the beautiful sunrise that you sat right in front of.
Two amazing sights in front of my eyes at one time, you being the better of the two.
I’m thinking about the walk down that wooden path, walking as far back as we could.
I’m thinking about 7am.
I’m thinking about going back home, laying in bed and finally falling asleep in your arms.
I’m thinking about you.
I’m missing you.
