Thinking abt Yoo Joonghyuk and his coping mechanisms making him fall into patterns over and over, and how he still feels lost on his own purpose until he's in space, as physically adrift as he has always been feeling. Thinking how only then he understands the true power of stories as he reads orv - which turns out to be the closest kdj will ever get to answering the question yjh wanted to ask. How the mission also becoming the trip he promised 41st round sys, now biyoo (who the narration stated he missed hearing, and only later it reminds us who the soul used to be). How they talk abt the time 41yjh hurt her not needing an apology bc they're not the same people as they were at the time, which reflects on the person they're searching for bc kdj also reeincarnated (and that convo is closure). And together with this person who the narration states that reminds him of kdj, he carries on the mission as a funeral rite. Thinking of him spending 100 years on the dark stratum (where biyoo just came out of) and getting regression depression VS spending 100+ years in this pilgrimage and coming back with its experiences. It takes a long time, but when he's back on Earth he shows acceptance for the lack of control they have. He's finally mourned properly. His gray hairs and more relaxed attitude reflect this too; after being saved by a story and spreading it as his mission, he found enough strength to carry on. Even if he never meets kdj again.
