Hey, ya’ll, I’m Akilah (ah-kee-lah) 🤍 I’ve been on YouTube since 2014 creating content, but everything really shifted for me in 2024 when I was unemployed and decided to start posting myself playing The Sims.
That’s when my series My 600lb Life: Monica’s Story took off and brought so many of you to me. Monica was created using a preset by ZombieMadUnicorn, and while I loved it at the time, something happened that pushed me to start learning how to make my own bodies. What started as curiosity turned into passion, and now creating plus size presets has become one of my main focuses.
Body positivity has always been a huge part of who I am. Before sims presets, I created a brand called In Her Skin Designs where I sewed bandeaus for myself and other plus size women. The business did really well, but running everything alone became overwhelming and I eventually had to step away.
So, when you see me creating fat sims with care, intention, and love, just know I'm not new to this I'm true to this lol. It’s about representation. It’s about normalizing bigger bodies in a positive light. It’s about showing that fat characters can be soft, stylish, desired, dramatic, funny, messy, and real.
