Hey guys, So my individual funding request for Facial Feminisation Surgery was turned down. For those who don’t know me I am a 25 year old trans girl living in South Yorkshire, England and I ran away from home back when I was 17 in order to pursue transition as my Mum wasn’t very accepting and my mental health was reaching breaking point under her roof, not being able to be myself.

Since leaving home I have had therapy, got hormones and had GRS on the NHS, however NHS England doesn’t fund facial feminisation surgery. Due to my Mum being unaccepting I went through male puberty in its entirety (and was an early to do so) and with this came a prominent brow ridge and facial features which scream male and 99 times of 100 in public this is how people automatically gender me. For the past few years, I have acted like it doesn’t bother me but the truth is it really wears at me and I find it difficult to engage with a world that continues to view and perceive me as male, often get very socially anxious or just totally shutting down.

If I could afford this surgery myself I would more than happily pay for it but unfortunately that probably won’t be an achievable goal for the next 10 years and my depression and anxiety are getting significantly worst due to the world continuing to perceive me as someone I am not.

Any help you can give would be very much appreciated, even if it is just as simple as reblogging. Thanks in advance.
