My teacher said this shit to me when I was being bullied by a boy in my class who would regularly punch me in the face, trip me up, pull my hair until I had fallen to the ground, kick me, spit at me and call me horrible names EVERYDAY in the "playground" and honestly, I remember the words he used even to this day some 30+ years later yet I don't remember every beating he gave me........

When my teacher told me "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me"
