When I reflect on how much the final season of GOT disappointed me it helps to remember that Arya killed the Night King.
It doesn’t redeem it but it helps.
Back again for my periodic raging that Tyrion and and Sansa never achieved end game in the Benioff/Weiss version of GOT. I sincerely believe they focused on the wrong things as writers and missed the best narrative opportunities available to them. Sad.

If they needed additional screen time to fill why not another Kylo and Rey force bond? Cuz that shit was gold.
Theory: Ben disappeared because Palpatine pulled him into the world between worlds or a darker plane.
He’s being tortured a la Angel in Buffy.
Rey will need to rescue him.
Do you ever wish Rey had taken Ben’s hand one of those times before everything escalated into a total shitshow? I’m pretty sure he would’ve abandoned all his evil plans if she’d just put her hands on him.

I know there are a million hot takes out there on TROS and who needs one more but I would’ve liked to have seen Rey and Ben kill Palpatine together at the end. Seemed kind of anticlimactic and frankly unrealistic that Rey alone ends up frying him in 30 seconds. Especially after all that talk about how powerful the Ben x Rey dyad is. Also the Ben x Rey battle sequences—esp when they team up together—have been the high points of this last trilogy. They are just so damn pretty when they’re doing their Jedi thing together. Seems they missed both a narrative and an aesthetic opportunity there.
