As a person with psychosis, I think the word "insane" used casually is fine, actually. Like. We need words to describe when someone is acting as if they are not in their right mind. Because people do that all the time. But the line comes at using words for actual symptoms/disorders to mean "bad person/action." Saying someone is "psychotic" when you mean "a bad person" or accusing everyone you don't like of being a sociopath/narcissist crosses the line (and no I don't care if you were abused by a mentally ill person. So was I by multiple people that does not give us the right to use those words that way).

recently saw ppl discuss whether they put their medicines in a kitchen cabinet or a bathroom cabinet and i was shocked by the fact that many ppl said kitchen cabinet. so now i need you to reblog this and say where you keep yours

Kitchen cabinet. Most medications say to store in a cool, dry place. Bathrooms get hot and humid, when you take a shower, which is not good for meds.

I KNOW people find talking through movies to be annoying and I’ve been in situations where it has been annoying BUT it is SO FUN to talk ABOUT what’s happening in the movie while it’s happening. Making jokes about the main characters hair or smth. Seeing a moving with someone should be about SHARING the experience with them!! I can watch a movie by myself in my room if I want!!! Watching with a friend means I want to watch WITH them!!

oh my god i’m so tired psychotic does not mean violent it does not mean angry or erratic. it refers to a person suffering from psychosis, a loss of touch with reality that includes hallucinations and/or delusions. psychotic people are not inherently violent and y'all need to understand how much stigma you create when you again and again incorrectly use the word psychotic without even thinking about it

i think girls need to be taught from a young age to not compare themselves to other girls. like the presence of someone else’s beauty does not negate your own, the presence of someone else’s intelligence does not eliminate your own, the presence of someone else’s success does not take away from your own.

this whole idea that we’re all in competition with each other and the concept of jealousy as a whole are so toxic. preach the importance of supporting each other and being secure in/loving yourself.

hey people living in the USA: if your doctor wants you to give a urine or blood sample for any reason, especially before you recieve a procedure or surgery, refuse to allow them to perform a pregnancy test. say that there's no possible way you could be pregnant and insist on being given a waiver to sign instead. if you are found to be pregnant by a medical professional it will end up in your medical record and could expose you to risk of being prosecuted for terminating your pregnancy.

the 17 year old recently charged in nebraska for a self induced abortion is being prosecuted for performing one after the 20 week time limit permitted by nebraska state law because police were able to access her medical records to prove that she was pregnant and how many weeks along she was

obviously don't talk on social media about your unwanted pregnancy or plans to get rid of it but you cannot let doctors in restricted states know either
