This image made me laugh for like 20 minutes when I first found it on Reddit a little while back. I just love the use of the setting sun for a dramatic scene with the parents speech bubble filled with sentimentality and the wants of every parent for their child, and then the kid asks for ice cream and as parents usually do when a child asks for sweets... The child immediately gets shut down.

For one of my photos for the assignment 3 I chose to use a picture of a locker room.  The comical part about my photo are the bathing suits hanging on each locker.  Anyone could go in these locker rooms so seeing these bathing suits just hanging there with no one around made me laugh.

My goto here is on ESPN.  On the bottom part of the screen is showing tat Austin Davis is going to start over Johnny Manziel in Cleveland.  This roller coaster of ups and down for Johnny Manziel is hilarious to me.

This is a photo of a wheel chair in my house.  The funny thing about this is that we all had a pretty interesting night a few months back.  When we woke up there was a wheel chair sitting there.  This hilarious situation we were all in has stuck with me for awhile now.

2B, Music Comedy

This song is by the musical comedian Stephen Lynch and is about two of the loves that got away. The reason I chose this song is because I love the way the song plays out because of the whole way the song is delivered. It's a pretty acoustic guitar line, mixed with Stephen Lynch's legitimately great singing voice, and the song is played as a straightforward love song but is actually filled with absurd lyrics that I often sing to myself because the song is actually not bad despite it being just one big joke.

This article that was trending today about the anticipated film "The Revenant," reports that there was some controversy about Leonardo DiCaprio's character being raped by a bear. This is hilarious to me because how did anyone arrive at the conclusion that there was, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that there was a bear on man scene in the new film from the director of birdman? Mostly I just love the studio's response, which I can only read from the perspective of a person just rubbing their temples and rolling their eyes in disappointment, which was pretty much, "No there isn't. Stop doing this."

This is from some recent anime and it parodies other contemporary anime all at once. There's something for every anime fan in this one particular gift. Don't ask me to explain what is going on or the story, I have really no clue.

This incredibly disturbing song comes courtesy of Temple's own Tim and Eric. This track "Hot Piss" comes off the duo's 2013 LP Urinal St. Station which they recorded under the moniker "The Yellow River Boys". It astounds me how the duo can be so committed to such strange and irreverant jokes for such long periods of time and the fact that they made an entire album about piss that came out on an actual record label is insane. In this premise lies part of the joke but the song "Hot Piss" itself relies on cringeworthy comedy and bathroom humor in it's lyrics. The song is so irreverant and doesn't make much sense but the image that it puts into my head is hilarious. Tim Heidecker's rugged, piss swilling, son of a gun character is there all through the words and makes complete sense to me without even having to see an image. Also the music itself is genius and the generic southern rock guitar riff is enough for me to laugh as it sound exactly how I'd imagine a Skynyrd song about drinking piss would sound. My good friend showed me this while were drinking beer which makes it even better.

This selection I would consider alternative comedy. Nothing is terribly funny about it and the video itself is stupid but something about it makes me die laughing everytime. Everytime I view it I imagine myself walking through a field on a warm sunny day. As I gaze up at the clear blue sky I notice a shape in the distance. Is it a bird? Nope. Is it a plane? Don't think so. Holy Shit! It's a Flying Lawnmower! Gets me everytime even if it's a stupid model of a minature lawnmower over a toy plane. Also the Cotton Eyed Joe is just about one of dumbest and strangest songs I've ever heard and it certainly adds to the experience. I think a friend showed me this in High School while we were bored in study hall.

This video starring Tim Heidecker is a piece that is a parody with elements of deadpan and physical comedy. My favorite part of the video is one of the physical gags where Tim stirs his ingredients and spills it everywhere. He seemingly takes for ever and does everything with such a straight face. The interview with Eric at the end of the video definitly adds from the uncomfortable vibe that Tim brings with his performance. I love the youtube channel Jash which is how I found this video.

In this picture found below the tweet Kansas State tries to offend the Kansas Jayhawks with a formation that from above is clearly the Jayhawk performing oral sex on a penis. I found this picture this week when I saw an article that Kansas state tried to say the formation of the Star Trek Enterprise. It clearly is not which makes the picture even more funny. The part I like about the picture isn't even necessarily the joke it's the execution. Seems like a pretty elaborate formation for such a simple joke. This is clearly insult comedy at the expense of Kansas.

I found this article while browsing through the onion earlier. Most of the Onion's title's are pretty much the punchline of the joke while the articles include some funny fake quotes. This satirical news article mocks traditional publications and does things you would never see in a real news article such as a reporter bashing a four year old and calling him a wimp for needing his father to join him on the merry go round. While other Onion articles criticize some more important news this piece is fairly light hearted in my opinion.

I have posted two videos on youtube I find to be funny.  For the first post I think it is hilarious to see babies laughing and doing things funny at such a young age.  Some commercials for big companies use babies laughing to have a distorted feel about their company.  It is always seen as a joke.  For the second post, another thing I see as very comical are animals messing around.  There are many videos online that have compilations of animals acting like humans, jumping around, or making funny sounds.

  I have posted here an example of musical media I think is funny.  In my my opinion I believe this example is comical in my mind because of the radical changes in our musical media these days have changes our idea as ‘good’ music.  The lyrics are comical in my mind.

I chose this image because, in my opinion, political satire is the best form of comedy.  This example hits home because being economically relevant in the community, when the economy rashes so does my money.  So this example hits home.

My example of comedy in literature is “Wolf of Wall Street” by Jordan Belfort.  The comical aspect in this piece of literature are the situations they get themselves in.  There are no straight examples of ‘one-liners’ that make me laugh but the examples of drugs and money problems.  Some of these examples I can relate to.
