This blog is meant to be lighthearted and comedic. It follows the story of the staff of General Hux & Kylo Ren's staff aboard the Star Destroyer Finalizer. It will feature headcanons that go along with a storyline leading to a Duel of the Fates script inspired ending. Asks sent to the staff are encouraged and appreciated. Hux may make an appearance from time to time too. That being said, here are some ground rules.
1 .ย ย ย Hate, thirst asks, explicit nsfw asks or any asks with rude or taboo content will be deleted. Please be kind and respectful. I prefer not to in character sexual asks directed at the characters but I am willing to accept nsfw asks that revolve around a characterโs relationships or characterization. I do not condone hate or drama.
2. This blog is strictly 18+ and will contain dark themes,ย including: canon accurate abuse, violence, murder, acts of war, manipulation, death, torture, blood. Themes of canon featured childย abuse may cross over from my Hux blog. Triggers will be tagged โtw: the triggerโ or โcw: the triggerโ. Feel free to ask to tag.ย
3.ย ย ย This is a sideblog to @acharnemcnt, my General Hux rp blog. You don't have to be following that blog to interact with this one.
4.ย ย ย I see Hux and a majority of the Finalizer staff as villains and do not condone or excuse their actions. Nor do I condone the actions of the Empire or First Order.
5. ย ย ย I work full time and am very busy irl so this blog will be low/sporadic activity.
6. ย ย ย This is a fun, light hearted blog following general storyline of my Hux rp blog; which focuses on Hux and Kylo's rivalry through The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, and ultimately leads to a Duel of the fates inspired plot where Hux & Ren create a new regime as Supreme Leader and Chancellor. There will be mentions light of kylux on this blog. Note that my interpretation of Hux is based on how we see him portrayed across the novels, rather than the movies. So he will differ from what you might expect from movie oriented Hux.
The Finalizer hosts an all day holiday mixer that lasts from the early morning until deep into night shift, so everyone can partake according to their schedule. Mitaka and the other officers on the Events Committee organize it weeks in advance; catering food, drink, music and events to entertain the participants. The celebration is a small thank you to the staff for their tireless work throughout the year. It is meant to be a tasteful soiree. But some of the more mischievous attendees do sometimes start drinking games, dance offs, or simply overindulge in public affection, which promptly results in the current security detail threatening to shut the celebration down.
Hux rarely attends other than to greet his supervisory bridge staff or to offer curt holiday wishes and professional words of appreciation for the team. The former General's ascension to Chancellor and marriage to the Supreme Leader has made him scarce aboard the ship. The new Commander, General Mitaka, is far less strict in implementing noise and activity restrictions to the event. Needless to say, the party will be popping this year under new leadership.
Mitaka's team is, by far, the happiest on the ship. Holiday parties, happy hours and the over all supportive environment has done them well. The whole team is overjoyed when their boss finally gets a well deserved promotion.
โAfter today, I'm gonna to need more than caf. โ Lehuse tilts his head toward his fellow pilot. His spotless helmet gleams beneath the harsh lighting of the Finalizer, even while nestled beneath the curl of his arm. Sweat dampened hair clings to his forehead; the tousled remnant of regulation aligned comb over. โ How are you holding up? โ
Out of touch was not exactly the phrase he would use. But Thanisson valued his career and his life too much to voice his opinion of someone so frighteningly volatile. โ Only if you vouch for me to Colonel Kaplan. โ
โ The shield upgrades are complete. โ Engrossed in the schematics upon the screen before him, Opan's eyes barely part from the console as he addresses the Lieutenant. โ Any update on departure? โ
โ Are you sure? โ She peers at the technician over a steaming canteen of caf. โ Thanisson told me that he heard that Ren- uh, Lord Ren, was a weequay. โ

First Order starship crews operate in three crew sections per department. Each standard day is divided into six four hour-long shifts, with each shift consisting of a designated team. This consistency creates a cooperative environment that fosters a sense of team camaraderie and unity. The immense innerworkings of a star destroyer require constant diligence for smooth performance. The ever mobile vessel requires 24-operation; hence the grave importance of smooth shift transitions. The four hour break-down was designed to omit burn out and keep the staff energized for full attentiveness and maximum efficiency. This, unfortunately does not always apply to commanding officers who often work extended shifts to ensure their department's success, especially during battles or times of crisis. Each department has its own commanding officers, followed by section and shift leads.
With a significantly smaller staff than it's predecessor, The Galactic Empire, the First Order relies heavily on the collaborative environment of each ship to ensure functionality. This synergetic culture is what sets the First Order apart from the Empire. For the sake of the organization's growth and survival, it was imperative that a strong sense of loyalty and companionship was instilled into the new generation at a young age. This tactic was implemented into the training and upbringing of both officers and stormtroopers. Yet, it does not account for the many of the older generation who are still accustom to the competitive environment of the empire.

-Allegiant General Pryde, High Command
โ It looks like we have to send out another anti-treason memo to the staff... โ
โ General Pryde, again? Sorry, Allegiant General. โ
โ At this point, we might as well put it on monthly auto send. โ
