9. this is my interpretation of him and because he’s a side character he doesn’t have too much personality. I have played him in a production of newsies soooo yeah I’m going off how i portrayed him. if you don’t like how I’m portraying him there is a very simple thing you can do and that is click the block button but if you send hate you’ll be the one that gets blocked.
quick headcanons!
1. my personal headcanon as to how he got the nickname finch (bc i know half the asks might be that) is that when he was a little kid when he was done selling papes he’d use some of the money to buy bread, find a place where he could “perch” (on top of a lamppost, statue, fountain, roof, etc), and just sit up there and eat the bread so that no one could bother him. he also tends to tilt his head a lot and ppl say he looks like a bird when he does. he also also absolutely loves birds (duh),
2. he’s 16 and has been a newsie since he was 8 or 9 so he’s been doing this a long time.
3. buddy is tall and lanky. he’s built like a stick bug but he’s surprisingly strong. (he loves carrying Romeo around like a rag doll because of the fact that finch is a solid head and neck taller then him)
4. his full name is Patrick Cortez (didn’t realize he had a canon last name sooooo don’t shoot me he had a different one in earlier stuff so ignore that) but almost NO ONE knows it aside from maybe Jack and Romeo in the future.
5. he hates having to wait for stuff to happen. he’s a very impatient guy.
6. his main love languages are physical touch and gift giving.
7. he’s a surprisingly good therapist friend.
8. he hates fights and always tries to get out of them even when he thinks his friends/other people are being very stupid and deserve a fight.
9. his slingshot is named Marjorie. don’t ask why. he might bite you. (it was his mom’s name)
