hey! hello! iâm j and iâm super excited to be here. i cannot wait to write with you all. under the cut, iâll put more info about finley. iâm totally down for any and all connections.Â
BIO
finn was born to a loving alpha/omega pairing. they had their own little paradise on the beach. it wasnât anything ostentatious, but it was theirs. it was the perfect size for them and their little family. the fact that they could open the windows and listen to the waves crash against the shore. it was a comfortable upbringing.Â
around the age of thirteen, she expected to present as an omega like her mom. it seemed to fit her caring personality and soft nature. she was always helping to take care of her little brother and sister. in her downtown, she built blanket forts to hide away and read her comic books -- a passion she picked up from her dad. the first few years after presenting were a little rough. she wasnât used to all the aggression and surplus of hormones. she found shifting and running through the woods or the shore helped a lot. it surprised her because she was never one for the outdoors. but it helped mellow her and figure out how to control herself as an alpha.
after high school, she entered college, but continued living at home. she worked a steady stream of jobs and saved each penny she earned. college was a means to an end. she wanted a degree, something neither of her parents had and the ability to open a shop of her own in crystal grove. both her siblings moved away to see the world and enter college. she calls them every other week to make sure they are doing okay.
all her hard work paid off in the end. after checking out many spaces in crystal grove, she settled on a shop in downtown. it took months to get everything the way she wanted, but the combination record and comic book shop was perfect. seaside records was born.Â
in her off time, finn runs a d&d campaign in the basement of the shop. itâs been ongoing for about six months now and she doesnât see an end in sight. itâs one of her favorite things in the world. she takes her job as DM very seriously, notebooks full of notes and possible upcoming plots line her apartment.Â
currently, sheâs looking forward to being mated. it hasnât happened for her, but she hasnât given up hope. sheâs proud of how far sheâs come with her business and sheâs sure her personal life will follow suit. sheâs chaotically bisexual.Â
CONNECTIONS
employees. former flings or rut partners. first boyfriend/girlfriend/partner. best friend. business rival. childhood friend(s). d&d campaign members. frequent seaside records patrons.
a break was very much needed. staring at paperwork all day was exhausting. and coffee sounded amazing at the moment. her gaze found finleyâs almost instantly, smile forming on her lips as she waves back and slowly makes her way over to the other. âiâve always got time for a friend. and i will be going back of course, but needed a break.â
.
her smile grows even as the coffee continues to have no effect. taking a sip, finley balances her chin on her palm. âyou are a god send. city hall crazy today? i canât even imagine the type of things you see over there.â with a sigh, she takes another big bite of her pancakes. âwhat are you having? it can be on me. for the company.âÂ
âactually i was looking for the bon jovi album,â marnie says after sheâs bopped over to finley at the counter, jaw working at a piece of bubblegum and a flannel tied around the waist. âvictoria was telling me thereâs, like, a bundle deal or something? that still happening?â she glances around like thereâs a poster or display, and tucks her red-dyed curls behind an ear. pops a bubble, picture of comfortable ease when she leans against the wall and kicks up a boot,  âbut totally. lay it on me, fin. what fresh hell do you have planned for us this weekend?âÂ
âhm, alright. i got you with the bon jovi. youâre lucky because itâs one of my last ones. i had to reorder last night.â fin chuckles before checking through the notebook next to the register. âa bundle deal? what are you looking for? i can work something out for you. only because i like you.â she glances at the boot and rolls her eyes playfully. âyou scuff anything and iâm making you get it out. but as for the fresh hell,â she pauses to grin wickedly. âi canât tell you because it would ruin the surprise. but i highly recommend everyone take a long rest after last week. this one is going to be a doozy, unless you all wiggle out of it.â
oliviaâs cheeks heat up in a light rosy hue at finleyâs mention of her most likely working through lunch and finley wouldnât be wrong about that. she looks over her shoulder to make sure things are going smoothly, which they are, and she gestures for finley to follow her to the break room. after they were inside with the door closed behind them, she takes a seat at the large circular table in the center and re-opens the bag of scones to grab one and take a large bite. âmm, this is so yummy! thank you again for this wonderful surprise!â the omega responds with a big grin, some of the crumbs hanging onto the corner of her lips. ânow what about you? what are you going to eat? i can have one of my dears up front bring you something if you want - i would feel bad if iâm eating and youâre not.â
finley gladly follows after olivia into the breakroom. she settles into the seat right next to her and offers her a shrug. âit was nothing. i was thinking about you and had a feeling you were over doing it.â noticing the crumbs, she reaches out and uses her thumb to brush them away from the corner of oliviaâs mouth. âmaking a mess.â she chuckles softly before dropping her hand. âi came mostly for the company. donât make anyone do any extra work for me. they have enough on their hands. are the scones good?â she clears her throat and looks at her hands settled on the edge of the table. she taps them nervously before glancing back at her. âwe could always go and grab something to eat too, unless the inn canât spare you. i get how that goes.âÂ
a long day at the record shop called for unwinding at the fishermanâs barrel. it wasnât finleyâs usual spot. she wasnât a big fan of the pheromones that swirled around, but it meant she would most likely be left alone. no omegas for temptation. it could be an hour or two of peace. cradling her beer, fin takes a long sip of it as she settles onto the stool. as she brings the beer back to her lips, someone stumbles into her back and she groans, jaw setting. âcan you maybe watch yourself?â she turns in her seat, not exactly ready for a confrontation -- only an apology and to be left alone. until she notices who it is. âi should have known.â / @pcmegranateâ
olivia had been in the office in the back working on paperwork when the bell is rung then she perks up when she hears finleyâs voice calling for her. with a big smile slowly appearing on her lips, she stops what sheâs doing, gets up from her desk, heads out of the office and around the front desk to greet finley with a big hug. âwhat a darling you are, fin! what did i ever do to deserve a lovely friend like you?â olivia questions with a small pout on her lips as she releases finley from the hug, takes the bag from her and opens it up and looks at the other woman with big eyes. âand you got my favorite raspberry and dark chocolate scones too! if i didnât know any better, iâd say youâre trying to court me, fin.â
the smile grows on her face when she sees olivia. the hug doesnât surprise her necessarily, but she lingers in it for a second before they pull away. âa darling, huh?â finley lifts an eyebrows as she looks her over. âyou deserve good things. plus i come bearing gifts because i was pretty sure you were going to attempt to work yourself through lunch. canât have that.â she leans on the counter as she watches her rummage through the bag. a flush creeps up her neck before she clears her throat. âiâm making sure youâre well fed and you take care of yourself. itâs a little selfish too. i get to eat and see you. it seems like a win win to me. you doing alright today?âÂ
the chime above in the store goes off. finley hurries up the stairs without putting away all her research. a new d&d book released a week ago and sheâs spent almost all her free time taking notes and reading. walking up the stairs, her smile grows into something contagious when she sees marnie. she waves excitedly and beckons her over. âi was literally just thinking about you. you here for something in particular or can i totally bore you with campaign stuff?â she pauses for a second and closes her eyes to inhale sharply. âokay, sorry. hello. how are you doing?â / @inrainsâ
with a yawn, finley pokes at her pancake. sheâs been feeling sluggish lately. maybe someoneâs been trading her regular coffee with decaf. she prefers not to think about it. looking up from her booth, she notices a familiar face enter the diner. lifting a hand, she wiggles her fingers in greeting. âyou got time to spare for a friend? or are you only picking up and heading to city hall?â she scratches at her jaw before nodding to the seat across from her. / @disfunctionaltmâ
running her fingers through her hair, finley pushes open the door of the inn. she does her best not to disturb any visiting guests. she doesnât want to take away from oliviaâs business, but it wasnât new for her to stop by with lunch. it wasnât anything fancy today. sheâd had a long night with her campaign the night before. she barely made it out of bed and into the record shop on time this morning. but lunch, lunch meant good company and sustenance. as much as she wanted to survive on caffeine alone, it wasnât enough. clutching a bag of their favorites from the cafe. approaching the desk, she smiles as she hits the bell. âi have an order here for olivia.â finley calls out loud enough to make sure she could be heard. / @stiigmasâ
slipping her sunglasses on, finley slips out of her car. locking it behind her, she pads towards the stables. she was never one for the outdoors. horses were beautiful creatures, but she didnât believe she had the courage to ever ride one. she was better suited with her two feet or four paws on the ground. giving a small wave to one of malâs stable hands she makes her way towards the direction sheâs ushered. spotting malachi, she lifts the package in her hand. âspecial delivery.â with a grin, she crosses the distance between them. âthis weekâs delivery for maya. brand new comic haul. you gotta promise she gets them first. we have a very strict arrangement.â / @ofwolfandmuseâ
