Sometimes you can get some of their new girls – you know, ones who are just starting up a portfolio. They’re not always the best, but you can get some photo credits, at least.”

Perhaps she should have proceeded with a bit more caution - or maybe she shouldn’t have been wondering outside alone at night to begin with. Things that typically would have held her back with fear and anxiety, especially things such as these that would have been considered completely sane and rationale to worry about, slipped her mind as she was in the dazed state. It was as if she hadn’t really gotten out of bed and stepped outside at all - like all of this was nothing more than a dream just short of being hyper realistic. Nevertheless, she listened to the other’s answer and nodded as an indication that she was hearing and processing his response. “I’ve always wanted to try out photography,” She admitted in a soft and slow tone of voice. As if she wasn’t even conversing with anyone else and rather thinking out loud. “Huh? Oh-” She supposed the question wasn’t a particularly odd or unusual one to ask, so she wasn’t sure why her brows knitted together in confusion as an initial response. “I don’t know- I guess I was just… tired of staring at the walls?” She offered alongside a soft chuckle. Having no desire to linger on that subject for too long, though, Felicity was quick to shift the topic of conversation back to the other. “What makes one spot better than another to photograph?”

“It’s not as easy as it looks,” Finn informed her, having heard many a person say they wanted to get into photography before. It was so much more than just point and shoot – it irritated him that too many people thought it was as simple as that. “You know it’s not very safe out here by yourself,” he reminded her. He was glad it was him she’d run into, rather than someone unsavoury. “Well, lighting is a big part of it. Here it’s not dark enough – you need it dark, proper dark, if you want to do low light photography, like of stars,” he explained.

Yet again, Felicity found herself restless through the night and took a break from tossing and turning in her bed to roaming the campus outside. For some reason, the longer she walked around, the more she felt as though time itself had been paused. Though she knew logically that to be impossible, she allowed her mind to slip into that fantasy - that somehow she really had acquired such an ability. It felt far more comforting than being faced with the reality that no matter what she did or how hard she tried, time always found a way of passing her by and slipping out of her hands. Although, she was pulled out of her dreamworld when she noticed herself approaching someone else. Due to how dark it was, as well as the significant distance between them still, she couldn’t quite discern who it was.  “Couldn’t sleep either?” She asked as she took a couple more steps towards them.

Shoving his hands in his pockets when he noticed the shadowy girl approaching him, Finn tried to act casual. He didn’t want to unsettle her: stumbling across a stranger in the dark wasn’t always the nicest of experiences. When she spoke, however, he figured she wasn’t that bothered. “Hmm. Checking out the light,” he replied, looking up at the night sky. “I’ve been thinking of setting up a tripod, but I think there are better spots to photograph at night.” As they grew closer, he asked, “What are you doing by yourself at this hour?”
