LC: Lookie here you six foot tall tank of cheap coffee and Doughnuts doughier than your flat ass, you don't know what the fuck you're taking about.
LC: While the NYPD is doing doing sad running man challenges to distract from the gaping hole of crap cops fifteen years in the job, despite checking out five years into it, us folks just 'playing' around are saving real lives, and real people.
LC: so get the shield unpinned from your asshole and de-fog your detective skills from your on sight hate of us. The whole reason this stuff started is because none of us felt protected by you people.
LC: men and pride is always the kiss of death for any real solutions to manifest. Remember that.
[Finn takes a deep breath. La Cazadora was only trying to get him riled up. Getting angry would mean they would win. Oh shit, he was crumpling the toilet paper with his other hand. He got up and out of the stall, texting furiously, not noticing an officer eye him disgustedly because Finn appeared not to be washing his hands.]
Finn: u can think what u want about us dude
Finn: but im not gonna give u info and find out u got hurt or worse even if ure a vigilante
Finn: thats it
Finn: "sry but not sry" as the kids say

[Santana's eyes were literally stuck on side-eye. Eyelashes - half-mass - flickered rapidly as a few bystanders at the sandwich shop looked at her like she was crazy. Her fingers didn't even need to get a look at her keyboard as she sighed and kept that look - eyes drenched with attitude]
LC: I'll wipe your pathetic bank accounts clean before you can even register the number to dial it on your phone.
LC: What about this? Share, or I shank.
[shit! threatening a police officer...we'll save that for later.]
LC: And by shank, I mean not leave you alone until you do.
LC: Either way? You lose.
[Finn raised his eyebrows. Was this... blackmail?? Dude, was he getting blackmailed?]
Finn: ure bluffing. all of u r bluffing and thats why ppl r getting killed bc this guy isnt!
Finn: whatever LC take my money, i dont do this job for money
Finn: i get paid for it but like thats different
Finn: u and that nightdouche u work with wont sidetrack us from our investigation
Finn: i dont work with criminals so if ure thinking of cross refercing the pins and the note ure not gonna find much and im not gonna say anything more about it
Finn: dont go sniffing around or someone else is gonna get hurt
Finn: and that means u too
Every smile you fake, I´ll be watching you.

Finn: when u open with a insult u kind of lose the effect of asking for a requst
Finn: ure also a vigilante??!
Finn: hell no im not sharing info with the LC
Finn: im changing my phone after this
[Finn knew that was a lie; he couldn't afford to bail on his phone plan with his salary but the threat was there. La Cazadora wasn't going to push him around!]

Finn [THOUGHTS]: Smooth transition, Hudson. Geeze.
every move | f2f nightbird & finn
[He should be off-duty, heâs clocked out ages ago, but his eyes glaze over the pink-purple letters of a neon sign, and Finn sees his own reflection in the dirty glass -- head covered in a thick hoodie because of the cold -- and the first thought that arises is that heâs tired of waiting. His tongue licks his dry lips, ignorant to the fact that theyâll be worse off in the morning. He walks by the bar window, hands further shoved into his pockets as he grasps the inside of them. How he wishes he could be holding onto the shirt collar of that Masked Man. His fists curl up, tighten. Finn wouldnât let go, let that man hurt any more people.Â
A sort of dangerous sharpness settles into his bones then and now and Finn breathes it out, and away, away from his system. He doesnât want to get mad. But God, he wants to get even.Â
Finn looks up to the dark city skyscrapers, takes in his surroundings, and squints at the familiarity. This street. Heâs made it back to the general area of the crime scene a day ago. The police tape is intact, quartering off the premises. There arenât many people here, understandable from the brutal murder. Only a few security decal are around at this time of night. Despite trying not to return here, Finnâs feet follow an invisible yet marked path, fueled by a subconscious of guilt and grit. Maybe Mr. My Alibi was right, Detectives donât know how to turn it off, Finn included.Â
Finn sighs and slowly walks around, not going under the tape, since heâs going to follow the law. But he lets his eyes jump over that bright yellow, peer and wander into the darkness beyond. Maybe there would be something. Something that heâs missed.]
dynamicmccarthy:
Okay I get what youâre saying, but also like no offense, the NYPD doesnât really seem like theyâre any closer to finding the Masked Man then the heroes are.
Yeah, Im totes bakery Madison. Cept when Iâm not at work I just go by Madison. Or Madi if youâre lucky. And I totes remember you! Youâre the super tall cop, obvi.
A famous person once said, âThereâs more than meets the eye.â If we were public with our investigation, that might give the criminal an edge over us, right?
Yeah, that seems like a fitting description of me. Itâs strange to see you talk about this issue since I remember your other talks about your planning business thing. But thatâs the thing about crises, it sort of brings people together in a way. I know times are scary but weâre on it the best we can. No loss of human life is taken lightly by the CSU.
conflictedlynn:
I mean, you sort of have to, after allâŚ.thatâs who the bad guy wants right? I mean I get that you guys want to help, but sometimes you need a little extra help right? You canât be everywhere at once, or have all the needed training. Iâm not knocking cops, what yâall do is awesome butâŚnightbird has done a lot of good too. He might not be perfect, but right now heâs the one that this masked dude wants so why not have him help out? He might be able to really make a difference. But, thatâs just me and my love for super hero comics and showsâŚIâm just optimistic. No, I get it dude, itâs hard on you guys compared to the little people like me.
Itâs his business should he want to work with the NYPD. Our commanding officers have made it clear that we will be working on our separate case and wonât be using our resources in locating him. This Nightguy has already made his stand on justice. It doesnât fit that of the department or myself. The less involved he is in criminal affairs, the better. These hero things started up because he set an example. A good or bad one, that depends, man.Â
I think itâs good that you keep optimistic though. I wonât tell you who or not to idolize. But know that whilst Nightlight is moving, so are the police. We arenât waiting around for Nightboy to come save us. We will keep on working.
adasmythe:
I try not to make it my business how the job gets done aside from making sure none of the detectives ruined a case by rookie mistakes. That âequalityâ in the terms with man/woman has never been one that needs stressing â it comes across as a nervous quirk when you add it like that.
Thatâs already been reported, no need to report it again.
Do you still like taking advice and information from your mom, Hudson? Canât say itâs attractive.
Right, of course. We in the precinct have made movements in trying to curb gendered words in the department, Sir. Duly noted, Iâll use peoplepower in the future. Iâm not nervous.
Without a doubt, Sir. I love my mom and what she has to say. Donât you? Well, not my mom but your mom.
nycjake:
Trust me, Iâm in shock too.
Iâll be sure to call the police right down to my club the second I see a vigilante.Â
Look, man, I know we donât see eye-to-eye on lots of stuff but I appreciate you taking that safety measure. Thanks for the cooperation.

LC: It's La Cazadora.
LC: Now, hand over the deets before you I denote you to Officer Krummy.
[Finn jolts up from his seat and the chair falls over with a clatter. La Cazadora?!?! Several of the other police officers raise an eyebrow at his random standing up.
"I, uh, I gotta go pee." Finn says before running to the restroom and locking himself in a stall and rapidly texting back.]
Finn: La caozarodRA??
Finn: Cazadora
Finn: HOW DID U GET MY NUMBER?
Finn: r u turning urself in??
Finn: thank god someone is if only NB wuld too
dynamicmccarthy:
Idk, it sounds pretty simple to me. I mean, if anything they can just work with you guys. Tell the masked man theyâre ready to take off their masks and then you guys could go there in hiding and catch him. Not that hard.Â
But youâre right about one thing. They should def retire. Theyâre clearly just making things worse for everyone.
Itâs simpler than that. If they want to stop crime, then be a member of the police department. Thatâs the reason why I joined. To help people in the right way, just like someone I looked up to. Hey, thatâs Plan B. :P Joking. What we donât want is to create another stage for this criminal to feel important in. Violence is means to have power over people, and the NYPD wonât give that man the chance, fake or not.Â
Thank you. Thatâs the most logical and best way to handle this âheroâ trend. They should retire and hang up their capes for good. Go back to normal lives. And wait, checking on your blog a little more, youâre Madison right? Bakery Madison? Itâs me, Finn! I got a whole wheat bran muffin from you guys the other day!
adasmythe:
Iâm sure youâre all falling over your feet to get to the bottom of this whole fiasco. So far I have had no complaints regarding the work of the CSU barring that one time someone sent a newbie who could barely form a couple formal sentence to deliver some files to us. Regardless, I donât know why people bother me of all people for information, but I suppose seeming approachable will have its perks in the future.
Uhm, not exactly. Iâm not a First Rank Detective. However the detectives, the Sergeant, and the higher ups are using all their manpower. Womanpower too! For us under their command, weâre also to help investigate and follow up on leads assigned to us, Sir.Â
And, sorry about that time, Sir. Iâll bring that feedback to our Sergeant.Â
Maybe itâs because youâve got an approachable face? My Momâs says that I have one too! Itâs the dimples.
