Game Over, Man
Game over. I logged on recently to find that my main character was deleted, and my alts were set for deletion as well. I managed to recover my alts, and after checking my account it appears that the shittiest hacker on earth had targeted me. Instead of taking my gold and anything actually valuable, the inventories of my pets were randomly rummaged through, with very few items missing. My bank, not even touched. I put in a ticket not because I was hoping to get everything back, but mainly to see if it were even possible to restore my character, for nostalgia’s sake.
If you’re still following me, you may have noticed that I haven’t posted in forever, and if you knew me in-game, that I haven’t played in forever. This was partly unintentional, because my computer was suddenly just not able to handle the game as well and it frequently crashed in half hour increments. Then I simply got used to not playing, and with all the other exciting things going on in my life... Mabinogi just sort of faded away. That said, it’s still a bit obnoxious to find out that someone hacked me. And it was a legitimate hack- I’ve never shared my password or secondary, and they are not easy to guess either. I don’t click on sketchy websites, and anything else you might accuse me of to make it seem like it’s my fault somehow. Sometimes accounts actually get hacked. Anyway, for those who still enjoy Mabinogi, please continue to enjoy it. Lord knows it was a big part of my life for a few years. I always loved the game lore, the music, and the friendships I could build there. But now that my character, Finoewae, has been put to rest, it seems only right to bid farewell on here too. SHIT HAPPENS. EDIT: Lol also someone submitted to my blog to say “Good Riddance, Bye Bitch” so I guess even after 2 years of not playing I still have people that don’t want me to play. Thanks for cementing my decision anon and I hope you learn to not let trivial things bother you so much. Bye.
