KuroMelo Nakayoshi Memories Repaint

I was so happy Kuromi and My Melo got full prize figures for their aniversary (and the other sanrio characters ig /j). I'm planning to pick up the other 2 sets of nakayoshi memory figures bandai spirits releaced too when I'm able <3.

I repainted them in they style of @sandraghart, one of my biggest influences. You can see her influence in my shading, her hatched shading and highlights make beautiful illustrations.

Megumin Repaint

First repaint of a prize figure scale figure. It was alot more fiddley than painting chibi figures but I managed. I want to try out small adding designs to the next prize figures I paint, I've painted small scale before but I'm deff out of practice.

Cyber Rabbit

Tested out a blank character mold I got recently using some air dry clay to make the hair and accesories. It came out pretty great, I was nervous about the flat hair but I like how 2d it looks.

I want to make some new templates for hair which I can test out. I have a bunch of blanks to test out.

Reach for the Stars: Extra Pages

Extra pages I formatted for the FREE space Sonic fanzine Reach for the Stars by @reachforthestarszine

The final extra pages I made for Reach for the Stars. The contents had to be a star map, it just felt right to have a diagram of the solar system on the first page. I decided to do it of the real solar system not the sonic universe's as we wanted a focus on real world space (along with space facts!).

As with pretty much all projects I do I had an urge to make a mascot! I wanted to include a full character sheet for Space Maria (plus Space Sonic & Shadow) so they could be drawn by readers ^-^.

The mods asked me to make a signitaure page, inspired by @sonic-femininomenon-zine. It was a wonderful idea which I will try and carry on in the future zines I do.

Reach for the Stars: Misc Layout

Misc pages I formatted for the FREE space Sonic fanzine Reach for the Stars by @reachforthestarszine

The music page from my previous work on Future with You worked out very well so I decided to use the same type of presentation again. Reach for the Stars had a smaller amount of music and audiobooks so I filled the space with the mp3 covers and the two golden records included in the voyager probes.

For the cosplay and merch pages I carried over the style from my info pages and used boxes and thin lines to highlight merch illustrations and cosplay photos

I had a challenging task with adapting a twine novel into a page to advertise it. I decided to make a decorative version of the games flowchart which came out wonderfully! I hope I'll get to work on another twine novel!!!

Reach for the Stars: Writing Layout

Writing pages I formatted for the FREE space Sonic fanzine Reach for the Stars by @reachforthestarszine

I had a slightly easier time formatting this text as I wanted Reach for the Stars to be a lighter zine for me compared to a @chaosquillcollection zine (whether it was is up for debate).

I didnt know whether to lean into the NASA insperation I was using for the zine and have a white background for the text, or lean into the space aspect and have a dark background.

I eventually decided on a mainly dark background as it was a digital zine, so the stories would be easier on the eyes while reading. I only used white backgrounds on the recipe pages (which may be printed out) and amy's fic which had black lined spot art.

For this zine I tried to stagger the stories with art, so each fics start and end should have a relevant single page artwork to accompany it. I wanted the art to lead into the fic so that it's easier for readers to transition from art to fic.

Reach for the Stars: Chapter Breaks

Page breaks I made for the FREE space Sonic fanzine Reach for the Stars by @reachforthestarszine

I drew the posters for the page breaks as I wanted a retro NASA aesthetic with Space Maria teaching you facts about each of the places they visit on their journey.

The space facts took alot of back and forth to get right, and they'll be wrong sometime in the future I'm sure, but for now they're pretty fun.

I wanted to try out pushing myself with this illustration. As it was based on Still in Love's ur card I had a nice base to work off, so I could experiment with my shading and background work.

I love how it came out even though it took so long to finish T^T
