UNALAQ did that, while Korra fought tooth and nail to prevent it. like she lost the fight, but she fought to try and stop it????

“everyone” being the people who she had just found out had been lying to her her whole life. Unalaq was also her UNCLE and a leader of the Water Tribe. he also taught her spirit bending, and was seemingly able to solve problems with spirits, something Tenzin was jealous of since he was never able to have the connection to spirits he wanted. Korra also doesn’t have the benefit of hearing the spooky music that pops up every time Unalaq is on screen like we do. maybe being locked up your whole life and kept away from people makes you naive and unable to see manipulation tactics idk.

like I understand peoples problems with season 2, I also have issues with season 2. but most of the hate I see towards Korra, as a character/avatar, is from people who clearly did not watch the same show as me

We keep memeing the fact that aang was "frozen in an iceberg for 100 years" but then that leads to places like screenrant going all "65 rEaSoNs WhY iCeBerGs DoNt wOrK tHaT wAy" well deborah the ice wasn't touching him he was suspended in a ball of avatar energy that froze over on the outside but that's not as much fun to say.
