Carter frowned, crossing his arms defensively. “No, I am claimed,” he confirmed.

She nodded in confirmation, her eyes moving up and down his body once. “What about you? Pet or Master?” She asked.

“I’m not a master.” It may sound stupid for as long as he’s been here but he had a self imposed rule to never refer to himself as a pet.

“They’ve already given me everything I need. Now I just have to take a pet. Or if they assign one to me. Which is it?” She asked looking slightly confused.

“You’re a mistress?” He asked, thinking she had been a pet since usually masters showed up in a much better mood. “They recommend one but you can choose anyone you want really.”

“I just wanted to get out of my room. It feels like I’m back at mother’s again. Just bloody empty rooms.” She growled. “And are we allowed in the pet rooms?” She asked curiously turning to him.

His features contorted into a look of confusion. “Pet rooms?” He asked, only thinking of the dorm rooms he had already mentioned.
