I know that the fanbase likes to clown on the fact that overblots are supposed to be rare only for seven of them to happen over the course of a school year but I don't think we enough about Yuu being there for every single one beyond Yuu 'being the school therapist' (which isn't even true 🙄) or 'how awful it is that Yuu has to deal with the overblot boys crash outs all the time'. Like, if overblots are supposed to be so rare, what are the odds that the only magicless student (who's not even supposed to be here) just so happens to be there for every. single. one? If were an NRC student who didn't know Yuu that well or at all I'd be very suspicious.
asdibqw9dwqbp I agree with you when you say that Yuu isn't the boys' therapist; they don't actually do or say a lot to help them change for the better, whether that's pre- or post-OB.
To be fair to the mobs, I don’t think they know how many OBs actually happened or that Yuu was there at them. There’s very scattered records of who was present and who has knowledge that OBs occurred in the first place (see this post). Some OBs, like Vil’s and Idia’s, were VERY contained and kept secret from the public. Others were limited to certain dorm members witnessing the OBs (like Heartslabyul for Riddle, Scarabia for Jamil, etc.). And really, with NRC students being as stuck-up as they are, they may not even pay a crumb of attention to the one student that doesn’t pose any threat 💀 Like, “a lion doesn’t concern itself with the whims of an ant” type of thing.
I'm pretty sure the implication here is that Crowley is somehow orchestrating all of this (especially since Idia theorizes in book 6 that someone is purposefully inducing the OBs). Crowley is probably also the one who brought Yuu to Twisted Wonderland and needs them + the OBs to happen for some reason to further his own goals. (More on how sus Crowley is here.)
