This! Never Too Late was one of my favorites by 3 Days Grace and addressed sexual abuse. Animal I Have become addressed the lead singer’s struggle with mental health issues. Go by Blink 182 was one of my personal favorites because it told of domestic abuse from a child’s perspective and being confused as to why their mother wouldn’t leave an abusive relationship and I relate to that 100%! Folks really do say rock got them through bs cus rock artist made relatable music for teens who were suddenly coping with awareness they didn’t have as children

I’m not proud of how long it took for me to recognize my physical feelings as being symptoms of long haul Covid-19, but I’m way more pissed at the medical gaslighting I experienced when I was sick in the spring. No testing was available at that time. My doctor laughed at me.

What I usually just struggle to power through turns out to be dizziness, vertigo, fatigue, and maybe some heart rate issues (I realized an experience I’ve had within the past few months could have been this. Very odd, heart rate seemed to be up, I was laying down doing nothing).

Medical gaslighting is real. I honestly think I’ve only had one doctor investigate issues enough for me to get an actual diagnosis my entire life.

the reason you were able to read more and do more activities in a day when you were a kid than you do as an adult isn’t because you got stupider, it’s because as a child you generally had your base needs taken care of and your schedule provided to you, so you didn’t have to use as much of your mental and physical energy on planning, life maintenance (ie food and administrative tasks), and general executive function. of course you could focus on reading a novel in two days, somebody else made your lunches and you never thought about phone bills and you didn’t even have to decide for yourself when to take a bath. c’mon
