“A man is leaving on a business trip and stops by his office on the way to the airport. The night watchman stops him and says, “Sir, don’t take that flight. I had a dream last night that your plane would crash and everyone would die!” The business man cancels his trip and sure enough, the plane crashes, killing all the passengers. The man gives his watchman a $10,000 reward for saving his life, then fires him. Why? “

“Still, it is good to be back. I must admit, I had been feeling quite morose from being away for so long.”

“The walls of your apartment were getting rather dreary. Such a decay might run risk of subconsciously effecting your mental state. Therefor, I have taken it upon myself to both patch the cracks in your walls and give them a new coat of paint.”

“I have opted for a nice sky blue. Not only does it give a passive effect of calming ones mind, but it also works well with almost any décor.”

“Oh, thank god…” they breathed a sigh of relief. “I don’t want to get on his bad side, considering everything that happened, including you and, uh…” they took a moment to motion at their ears. “…And me.”

With that out of the way, though, Alys soon perked up. “Hey, it’s looking pretty good, though! Do you need help with anything?”

“Oh, how… thoughtful of you!” Alys said this with a bit of awe. The color complimented the room well, and they really liked it. Plus, the brightened surroundings would probably spark some writing inspiration.

But then, there came a bit of realization. “Wait, did you get the OK from the landlord? I don’t remember if that was in the lease…”
