I don't know if this counts? But mouths are forward on humans idk. Also apparently it's called an inferior mouth when it's on the bottom of the fish which is kinda rude of biologists

Generally the front is the anterior view of the animal. I'm pretty loose with it though in cases just wanting to post a specific image or species I stretch the definition of facing forward into a 3/4ths view. This is pretty solidly a ventral view though. Still posting this because very cute, I love plecos so much. Also here's mine as an example of what facing forward is for a pleco.

I have versions on what it could be (some species of damselfish, spinefoot etc etc) but I can't be sure from this image. Location would help a lot.

this photo was taken in the caribbean. i think damselfish just from the shape, but i struggled to identify based off the white color

Oh yeah I would be willing to say this is a damselfish based off its shape, specifically looking at mouth and eye placements. There are a few species of damsels in the Caribbean that I believe this could be (Longfin Damselfish, Bicolor Damselfish can sometimes have a pale/white looking head, Sergant Damsel with the stripes not visible due to the angle). Could be something like the Brown Chromis as well, but the back looks too high for it to me.

I don't believe this can be reliably identified, but what we can be certain of is that this fish is magnificent.

It’s a clownfish/anemonefish, but I’m not certain of the species. Orange? Photographed by me in Raja Ampat, Indonesia.

This is a spine-cheeked anemonefish judging by the deep maroon colour and what I believe to be spines visible when looking closer.
