The algae wafer fan club
The first batch of snow pleco babies was big enough to leave their small tank an rejoin the parents in the original tank.
Soon they'll be big enough to go to new homes.
Here with their mom:
I love that they're not shy.
Here with their dad (one of them hitching a ride, lol):
All at once (I think you can tell where the food landed, lol)
Feeding blanched cucumber to Finnley the BN pleco and my SAE yum yum~
Bristlenose pleco
She's so handsome...
Went out to a lfs to finally stock my 55 gallon yesterday! Got a small group of Glowlight Danios (8, before one promptly lodged itself behind the filter housing somehow??? Apparently this is a known issue with the Juwel Rio, I’m looking at ways to stop it.), enough Lampeye Killifish to bring my school up to 10 because I think they’re wonderful and then. A childhood dream animal I never thought I’d own because I’ve always kept tanks too small for them until this point.
Mr Pleco……..
This is Whiskers the Bristlenose and I love them.
This is Chaos! He's a young adult bristlenose pleco I got as a teeny baby this spring. He was supposed to be a "calico" color, but as he developed it's clear to me he's actually a "super red". He was also the feistiest bristlenose I had ever seen--over food, mostly, which makes me think the little dude had a hard time getting enough to eat in a mass-pleco-baby holding tank. He's mellowed out now, but still loves him a Catfish Chip and the occasional cube of tubifex, as a treat!
Look at hiiiiiiiim~
Tank update from this morning, after yesterday's water change. It's all cleared up and settled and ready for the newcomers today!
