so in the finale doctor who series 3, there’s been a year of apocalypse under the master, but time gets turned back so that only those on the master’s ship, the valiant, remember. this obviously includes all the main characters, with everyone else forgetting - a good compromise for the reset button where the world can continue as normal but the characters continue their arcs and emotional fallout from what happened

but on that ship, there’s a bunch of faceless unit soldiers as extras and like, i know we weren’t meant to really think about that, but literally ever since that episode aired i have had this thought of like…these are the people who collaborated with the end of the world and they are some of the only humans on earth who remember. someone stop me writing this fanfic.
