i say olivine as best snorf (touch) experience because i feel like he would be simultaneously fluffy AND accommodating. so u could just yoink his massive.. well, mass, and stick ya whole face in it, and get this feeling of warmth and acceptance and fuzzywuzzy and peace and contentment.
the separate category for smell goes to blade because i assumed he would work like an air freshener
and spritz whatever fragrance (or lack of fragrance) that most appeals to his audience AHAHA
smells like NOTHING!
but then i thought, what if he's a robot dog. and he smells like melting plastic. overheating electricity. that is less pleasant.
but then i thought, FURSONA. so a living animal. would he be a shark? i think sharks are pretty neutral-smelling, right?

i guess it comes down to how much you value the touchy smoosh aspect of a snorf
or the smell component

-eiden: snorf is truly middlegrade. not repulsive, but he's not unusually pleasant-smelling either. just what you'd expect. a friendly, comfortable, all-purpose snorf
-aster: good luck trying to catch him. if you DO manage to grab him and expose his vulnerable underbelly, the snorf will probably be a clean one. a small one. will not cover ur entire facial surface area. just a well-groomed bat. maybe some blood smell. mysterious.
-morvay: really depends on the timing. do not snorf after he's been out all night. WILL get cum on your face. maybe even crusty cum. Aged cum. Barrel-aged cum? Vintage---- ok. look. just. snorf him after a shower. he probably smells musky but he's morb-shaped and vbery cute. maybe
-yakumo: can u snorf a snake? seems more like you're putting a fake moustache on your face. probably doesn't smell strongly of anything. maybe a hint of what's been cooking in the kitchen. maybe faintly damp smell (from sitting in the humidity all day). not a very satisfying snorf.
-edmond: i THOGUHT he would be a quality snorf but then i imagined vice captain of the knights fursona after a heavy day of training and he's all sweaty and also he'll claw ur face off if you snorf him and overall it's a lot of risk that i'm not willing to take
-olivine: as mentioned above.
-quincy: would be a large snorf, with much potential, but i feel like he would be STIANKY. he has not moved. moss is growing on him. when was the last time he bathed? despite the moss, he has ALSO been performing hard labour all day. he didn't pee on a tree to mark his territory and scare off predators, but he thought about it. very approachable snorf, excellent for beginners, but beware.
-kuya: so u want to die. dangerous snorf. unpleasant snorf. you think after all the effort and psychological warfare involved in getting your face within snorfin distance, that the payoff would be immense. that your fox would smell like lilacs and infinite money. NO. he smells like a fox with medicinal balm rubbed on his joints for the pain. letdown.
-garu/karu: stinkmy boys............ would be soooooo snorfable (garu especially) and would run up to u and let you snorf all u want and you could hold them and wolfhandle them and toss em around and they would play with u... um.... with a bit more claws on karu's side but . snorfable regardless. you will however need to adjust your expectations appropriately re: smell. wet dog, bro. wettest of dogs.
-blade: clean lad. as above.
-dante: intermittently stinky and aromatic. could smell like fine perfumes fresh out the bath, but understandably yuck after a long day's work. the real issue is snorfing him without also getting a concussion from his PureForce Smackdown. i'm sure his mane would be luxurious to smother, but bruising (on you, of course) is inevitable. a small step above edmond in Wrangling Difficulty.
-rei: stinky. mangled. neglected. this kittybird has mange and plucked feathers. unsatisfying snorf, because you swear you smelled the very scent of death itself, and now you're very concerned for this creature's wellbeing. how is it still alive? how is it so pointy? if i snorf any harder, will i break it? i can only gently sniff this one. best not to risk any unnecessary damage.
i keep forgetting to tag things under the main fandom tags but my pride assumes that anyone who sees me more than twice in there will seek out this blog should they like me
