i'm participating in the 2026 artfight on team comedy. ( hopefully, when the site isn't dying )

I never blog about my art on there, I mostly post on instagram ( also once in a blue moon) I should start posting more often.

I kind of wish the evident similarities between hawkfrost and ivypool gets explored now that ivy became a deputy.

Hawkfrost had a close relationship with brambleclaw but there was a hidden jealousy that he was the favorite brother, he was the deputy, the chosen one. When brambleclaw no longer followed hawkfrost blindly he just snapped .

Ivypool was jealous of her sister for being the chosen one, and then dovewing left thunderclan and ivypool saw it as rejection. She chose someone else, she chose another clan. The same way brambleclaw chose thunderclan, dovewing chose shadowclan. Leaving their angry sibling with abandonment issues behind.

Now ivypool is deputy, something hawkfrost never got to truly achieve. I wonder how much of hawkfrost's teaching is left in ivypool, how much of his personality got fused into her own. He was her mentor after all.

I don't think the erins are going to explore it at all. But i think there is so much potential into seeing hawkfrost's apprentice potentially becoming leader of thunderclan. I like to think that even being double dead this guy still haunts the narrative.

As ivypool's number 1 fan. I am thrilled by her being deputy but I either want her to be a flawed leader or straight up awful. Give me flawed angry ivypool having to learn how to be a good person for the great of her clan or give me evil traumatized ivypool. I want her to be awful on purpose, and i want a final ivy/dove closure thay either end on good terms or in tragedy.

Give my girl some self awareness or make her a villain.

People who only watched the lockwood and co show must be very confuse why book fans love skull so much. I can only hope that if we get a second season they bring out his true personnality more so that we can all band together, both books and show fans, and give this dumbass of a skull the love he deserves.
