I can just feel that dragon age origin is good. I understand that sometimes its fun to fix the supporting cast mid quest but sometimes I just want them to resolve their own shit I hope this game does that

TADC just gives me more affirmative proof that people cannot protect abuse victims despite how simple it really is. Don't be friends with an abuser, don't downplay anything, don't side along with them in case they have "a point" or to see "their story". It's always about their story and their point but never the direct effects that had. Never the victims. Always about Jax abstracting and how to save him, never gangle or ragatha abstracting (because I'm very sure the narrative wouldn't save them anyway. I mean it always felt a bit backhanded anytime gangle or ragatha was on the verge of abstracting, helping them feels more "Oh my God just get over yourself" than "hey are you okay? 🥺")

Also if your story climatic theme of "there's meaning in a stagnant life" is more important than standing up against abuse, I think there's serious flaws with your theme there.

Tadc feels so lackluster because it just doesn't explore any real situation that the characters go in, even terrible complex ones where the characters will have to rethink the way they view a certain someone... but nah they just go down the basic fake path of "we just need to all be here together!" As one of them is actively killing everyone mentally and emotionally and even technically physically omgggg

I think Rebecca sugars strong suit is writing human stories. Everything she touches feels more real and emotionally grounded I keep noticing how odd dialogue sounds in a lot of indie animation nowdays no one sounds human I'm not writing this for the sake of glazing. I just think about it
