Smashing it!
It’s the start of a New Year and a time when people make resolutions that this is the year they will focus on their health and get the body they always wanted. 4 years ago I started this blog and made a pledge to myself that I was going to stick with healthier eating habits and regular exercise after years and years of stop start attempts. My goal was not to be the biggest or strongest guy in the room or compete in any competitions. It was to foster healthy habits and make them stick for an improved quality of life, to look and feel better, to be able to be more active with my kids as they grow up and just be a better version of me. After 4 years I’ve definitely had ups and down and 2017 felt tougher but I’ve stuck with it even when I didn’t feel like it or wondered if it was worth it. So for all the people out there looking to get started in 2018 and feeling like you have an impossible uphill climb just know I’ve been there and that it can be done. I hope my blog and progress can help serve as an inspiration and example to stick with it and keep going. It’s never easy and it’s a marathon not a sprint. Keep at it and know that each step no matter how tiny is still progress in the right direction.

Each year, each week, each day is a new chance to make a change. To do better, to BE better. That may mean working to be healthier, fitter, and more active or… It means being more passionate, hard working, forgiving, empathetic, self-reliant, assertive, realistic, and understanding. 🙏
Resolutions are about finding the path to a better you. How do you want to use the next 365 days to move yourself forward, sideways or upward? Think about it honestly and plan for success by understanding how much is realistic to take on at once, whether it’s your health (physical or mental), career, social life, or personal aspirations.
You only fail if you stop trying, life is a series of infinite do-overs. Your life, your time, your decisions. You can do this. YOU are the all powerful, independent, strong person that can live the life you want! ✌️
Find out who you are, be who you are, enjoy who you are!!
