Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate! No matter whether you celebrate Thanksgiving, it is always a good day to be thankful for all the good things and even the challenges in life.
This week has been tough and I really can’t wait for the week to be over! I’m mentally and physically fatigued and I’m looking forward for a good recharge on Saturday. This is why despite my crazy day, I make sure I go for yoga to kick start my day. Because… Yoga keeps me sane, thankful and grounded.
This week has brought about an entire slew of new experiences. Interviewing para athletes whose fighting spirit burns so brightly and goes beyond the “incompleteness” of their physical bodies make me realize - what have I been doing? Am I seizing the day? Am I making full use of what I have to make a difference?
These para athletes may not be here just to inspire others around them, they are just doing their own thing. But the very action of pursuing that gold medal in the international Paralympic stage and challenging the boundaries and stigma that society places on them, to me, is pretty badass.
I wish I can share more about it - I will when the time comes and when my FYP comes to fruition. This is an unexpectedly long post, but I just have so much on my mind, both good and bad. It is so important to take pride in what you’re doing. Take ownership, challenge limitations, and keep asking, how can you make it better? Don’t wait for someone to lead. Take the lead. Because sometimes, leading is a tag team. (at Tirisula Yoga)

So since the last time I posted my first successful headstand I’ve been practicing really hard to turn movement into stillness. Meaning…I’ve been trying to hop up calmly into a headstand without completely flipping over with too much force and whamming into the ground. Well of course I’ve fallen. And it hurts!!!And it’s scary!!!! But you know what, once you experience the bad, you’re no longer scared of it. So you get up, try again and again and again and again until you can do it. Guys…I never thought that I would be able to do this pose let alone hop into it, fight the breeze that wants to take me down, and then win!!! I was able to get up into this by myself today and hold steady for about 10 seconds!!! I’m so happy! Been practicing for about 10 min every other day and it’s happening. Key thing: believe and trust in yourself. I’m so excited to see how I will continue to progress. Ok more yoga adventures soon. Hope you like!!
