Today at our family reunion, my Grandma announced to the whole room that the cookie I was eating would make me fat.

“That cookie will make you fat, Chris.” No question of who she was speaking to. My husband was down the hall and heard her!

I’m not exactly proud of my response (a very snarky and sarcastic, “Okay, and then what??” as I walked out of the room) but like? What the actual fuck was that?! And my mother just sat there and had nothing to say?

Lunch this week is a dense bean salad made with a very delicious honey chipotle adobo dressing that I will definitely attempt to recreate in the future!

The bulk of it is four cans of beans, a can of corn, seasoned pearled couscous, and three chopped bell peppers.

I went through and deleted my entire ask box because the number of messages I could see didn’t match the number of messages tumblr says I had (I assume because I’ve blocked people from their messages) and that mismatch bothered me 😬😬😬

There were a few messages asking about why I changed my mind about wanting kids. I credit most of that change to starting therapy when I turned 30 and learning why my relationship with my parents was so strained. Now I understand that it doesn’t have to be that way with my own kids!

This is a fitblr for the foreseeable future!

I’m not going back on a GLP-1, but I do need to get serious about maintaining consistent healthy habits. If I get pregnant, I’m sure a few things will change in terms of my goals 😅 But for now, I’m going to focus on losing a few of the pounds I put on since stopping Wegovy at the end of January.

It truly isn’t a big deal, but I’d at least like to reverse the upward trend in my weight that I’ve tracked over the last few months. I started lifting consistently in March and I attribute that to the first little jump…so for right now I just want to get back to weighing-in under 210 while also continuing to lift heavy. Ideally I would be closer to 200 (or under) before I get pregnant, but whatever this is where I am.
