Summertime for me means a day at the lake and a look at the colorful plumage of buntings. On my most recent trip to Stinchcolmb I saw two indigo buntings and one painted bunting - both male!! Not to be sexist, but i prefer the males to the females cause theyre prettier. The painted bunting was such a vibrant red that it almost looked hot pink!!
