This weekend!
The 6th Annual Five College Queer Gender & Sexuality Conference is THIS WEEKEND!!! Can you believe it? Join us in Franklin Patterson Hall at Hampshire College Friday, March 6 & Saturday, March 7 for a weekend of learning, growing, & fun!
We're excited to say that the wonderful New York Toy Collective will be tabling on Friday and Saturday and will be bringing lots of goodies for interested people to buy!
Our schedule is up! Take a look at all of the great presenters, artists, activists, performers, and scholars we have coming to Hampshire College on March 7th and 8th. Please note that this is a living document and is subject to change. Please check our blog's homepage or our Facebook for updates.
If you can, please take a moment to donate to the Five College Queer Gender & Sexuality Conference. This conference will always be free and open to the public, but every little bit of support counts towards making this conference what YOU want and need it to be. Spread the word!
we are all so excited for this conference!
One week and a few hours until the conference!
Look at our nifty new poster!
We're excited to announce that Friday we'll be featuring Robyn Ochs and Darkmatter with DJ A_Nok and DJ Sol Nova as our Queer Prom DJs. Saturday morning Jes Tom will be performing with our keynote delivered by Jiz Lee and Tristan Taormino.
March 7th and 8th at Hampshire College! Free! Spread the word!
(Registration is open so get on that)
We're fortunate that we're able to put on the conference as a free event but we're only able to do that because of the generous support we receive from our community. Right now it costs us $35 a participant to put on the conference and because we don't charge for attendance we need to raise that money from other sources.
We appreciate everything that you do to help- whether you're able to donate or you help us spread the word about our wonderful conference. Donors will receive not just the satisfaction of donating to a great event but there are also some lovely thank-you gifts.
Please reblog and share this link with everyone you know!
We've put up the schedule for this year's conference (March 7-8) so take a look!
Entering its fifth year, the Queer Conference will be held March 7-8, 2014 at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA. Register! Tell your friends! Tell your pets! Invite your coworkers! The Queer Conference is student-led, and aims to offer an accountable and supportive environment to further explore a wide range of topics and their intersections, such as race, genders, sexualities, ability, class, kink, survival strategies, and many more, in a specifically queer context. The Queer Conference strives to provide a safer space for engaging, learning, and fostering community with a wide range of workshops, panels, performances, and lectures by student leaders, Five College faculty and staff, off-campus educators, and nationally-known performers and speakers.
