So something I'm toying around with idea wise since I'm having a hard time actually, you know, being active is creating a main writing blog hub. I've seen it going around a bit and I'm thinking of jumping on that wagon. What does this mean? It means I'll move my blogs one last final time to a sideblog to the writing hub. I'll be able to keep everyone on one dashboard and write whenever the muse strikes. I won't be able to follow back from the blog you're following and of course I will continue plots and threads I got going on (the more in depth ones) but I'm thinking very strongly on this.

I'll be making a final decision by the following week. Just a heads up where I'm at.

“You sure you’re ready for that story?”

As far as the things she’d seen in her increasing age, this was among the weirder experiences Faith had had. But then again, nothing was impossible- just as her half-vampire prophecy baby about that one. She even recalled incidents in her youth that resulted in facing herself more literally than not- the Draconian Katra, that twinning rod…

And somehow now, a Faith Lehane from another timeline. One who didn’t have a kid at all- no wonder she’d be curious to know. If fate or the Powers that Be had somehow brought them here (and an all-out brawl hadn’t begun yet) then maybe it was best to be upfront about it.

“She’s a lot of things. Angry bein’ one of them. Can’t say I blame her entirely- I did walk outta her life on Day One. There’s… It’s a long story. The short version? Me and Angel had a miracle baby because of some bullshit prophecy parchment sayin’ it’d happen,” she said, taking a sip of her water. The cafe was quiet, mostly, but the two women were getting stares- twins, they’d lied to the waiter. Seemed to buy them enough time for now, but if someone caught wind of two Faiths in London, there might be bigger problems.

“You want the long version, or should I quit while I’m ahead?”

She knows that tone, she’s used far too many times. The ‘I’ve screwed up big time again’ tone she’s become far too accustomed to using throughout her life. Moreso in youth but Faith wasn’t perfect, never would claim to be. Taking another sip of the water, Faith gives her attention to the other, listening to Hope’s whole ordeal, her whole birth and everything in between. “Yeah kinda got that ‘bout her. Moment I met her, she thought I was you.” A beat. “Didn’t take her long ‘till she started ridin’ my ass.” Another break of pause, recalling the encounter and it wasn’t a blissful one. Second time in a week someone mistook her for the other Faith. Least this time it seemed to be going better. 

“So you and Ang hit a home run and here’s this kid?” It’s a lot to process. Her and Angel. A thought that would’ve never crossed her mind in a million years, not since she was a teenager. They were on good terms still, keeping in touch whenever possible. How did things go so sideways here? “I would’ve never thought...” How she must’ve felt on the other side of the board right now, Faith doesn’t want to picture it. 

Waitress swings by to the table, interrupting Faith in the process. A cafe with such a small amount of people and yet so many eyes, seemed so ironic. “Yeah, I’m gonna go with the chicken strip basket and a beer. What about you sis?” Thankfully people at the cafe seemed to buy the identical twin thing even though things would get tricky if word got around there were two of them. 

“I’ll take the skinny if you’re willin’ to give it.”

        he lifted a curious brow in amusement .        ‘  why? —  y’ think i’m gonna start  experiencing performance issues? ’     the euphemism was only partly unintentional . 

“You? Performance issues? You’ve got the stamina like a young stallion there stud, no worries there.” She gives a light smirk following with a rise and fall of a shrug. “No but.. to not look a gift horse in the mouth here but you ever thought about it? I mean, you’ve been huntin’ since well, forever. Just sayin’ maybe one of those getaway bungalows might be callin’ your name already.”

“Not gonna lie, I dig the silver fox look you got creepin’ in. That gonna come with retirement anytime soon?”

“It was crazy man,” It was a stupid dare honestly but a dare Faith wouldn’t back away from. A cliff, a rock, the height made no difference. Other kids have climbed up to the same rock feet high and backed out but not Faith. The rush is what she lives for, that adrenaline to pump through her veins when nothing else does. And if she didn’t survive the jump down well... Faith never really thought that far ahead. And the attention was its own brand of addictive drug she forgets she’s deprived off until she garners a taste. “Every other kid was there, right? Like a whole crowd of around twenty maybe, and all of ‘em backed out. I was the only one to take the jump and I’m tellin’ you man, there ain’t nothin’ like it.”

Thrack! Down Faith went in a flash, an interrupted moment between her and her daughter. Granted it wasn’t a complete bonding moment, her guard was down for only a second to allow the swing to take place. Demon. Of course it was and in demon fashion, crash a party at the most inconvenient times. Standing back to place, Faith stands to position, gathering a look around to their company to a group of four. Their lips curling to a malicious sneer, eyes as red as crimson rubies scanning them like a free buffet. Boy were they about to be in for it. “Guess we’ll have to finish this later cuz we got company.” Two to the left, two to the right. She recognizes them immediately to be low ranking demons, an easy neck snap if Hope could pull through. “I’ll take the left, you take the right.”

A kid. Faith Lehane never thought she’d ever breed a kid into this world but apparently, she was wrong. Here she was, facing off against herself (a weird feeling of deja vu) who had one. Was her motivations different than her individual speculations if a pregnancy had occurred? She had questions. The shock of there being another her wasn’t all that great for shock factor, there wasn’t much that would surprise her anymore. This, another her? Nothing. Her with a kid? Now that was the kicker. “So, baby ace. What’s the story there? She’s pretty squared for a half pint.”
