Everyone talks about how easy it is to build an online business in 2022, but is it really that easy?

Well, I’ll present to you all the pro’s and con’s of making an online business that will help you figure out if it is worth it for you to start.

Let’s start with the con’s!

1.It Is A Lot Of Competition

As it is very easy to make an online business, everyone started to do it, so that created a lot of competition to be there.

This competition can be very difficult.

Many niches have become not worth it anymore.

This might be one of the biggest cons of having an online business.

2.Many Scams Are Out There

If I hear one more person saying that you can make money out of surveys, I swear I’ll go mad.

Even with real online businesses like blogs, affiliate marketing and dropshipping won’t get you the income that you dream of.

Obviously, you won’t become a millionaire from starting a small business like a blog, but it can make you an income.

Not every type of online business is worth it, I have tried many and a lot of them didn’t work. I have listed my experiences with every business I’ve made in this article.

3.Getting Organic Traffic Can Be Almost Impossible

Personally, I believe that getting organic traffic is not something easy to do.

Platforms that can get you organic traffic, can take back that organic traffic in a second.

You’ll need to put a lot of work in to make an organic traffic source grow, but it can still end up not being worth it.

Now, let’s get with the pro’s!

1.It Is Cheap

Online businesses are a lot cheaper than normal ones.

They can cost a bit, but surely not even close to how much a normal business can hurt your pockets.

2.It Is A Lot Simpler To Learn

Online businesses don’t take that many skills and you can learn them from anywhere on the Internet.

3.You Can Work From Home

Probably The Biggest pro is that you can work from home.

Working from is a huge advantage not everyone can afford and that’s why starting an online business is a great thing to do.

The Big Question: Is It Still Worth It To Make An Online Business?

I think so, but I also think it depends on the person.

You need to take all of these things into consideration and decide if they are good or not for you!

The Never Told Truth About Affiliate Marketing And Blogging

As years have passed, blogging and affiliate marketing have been gaining more and more popularity and with that their capability of becoming profitable has decreased drastically.

What I’m saying is that affiliate marketing is not as profitable as it used to be because everybody does it.

Now , don’t get discouraged! I do it and I make an income, just not the income you’d expect.

I make around $2000–3000 per month, but I have been doing it for 2 years now.

It’s not the amount you’re told online.

You most likely won’t become a millionaire from doing affiliate marketing and by blogging, but that is completely fine.

There are however a few things that have changed and that you should probably keep in mind when starting this type of side hustles.

First, to make affiliate marketing profitable, you need to have a blog or a place where you have full control over your audience like an email list.

You need it because it will make it more likely for your audience to buy the products you promote.

The second thing you have to do is: PROMOTE EVERYWHERE.

I mean on Pinterest, Tumblr, Tiktok, Redditt and so on.

Another thing you need to try:

COLD EMAIL MARKETING.

What is it? It’s when you email someone you haven’t spoken to before. Great side hustle you should surely begin.

You only need to get into THE MAIN INBOX.

Affiliate marketing is surely a good place to start, but if you’re an aspiring millionaire I’ m assuring you affiliate marketing or dropshipping won’t get you there.

We all know about Pinterest, we all know about SEO, but how many actually know the real importance of : email marketing?

You most likely know what it is? But did you know that both types, cold or not email marketing can help you get more blog leads?

I mean that’s what I think works best, do you think so too?

Normal email marketing is great because it allows you to get people that subscribed to your email newsletter back to your blog more times a month.

But, how much do you know about cold email marketing and how it can help you?

With this type of email marketing you have to be a lot more open and you have to send much more helpful and intriguing information.

It’s a simple way to get people to come to your brand new blog.

But there’s a few things you need: 

-Have a well set up profile

-Have DMARC, DKIM and SPF

-Contain only curated links

-Have a one column layout

-High-engagement rate

Let’s talk about Pinterest changing!

This Pinterest change might surprise you…

All digital marketers know about how great Pinterest is for every online business out there.

But lately, Pinterest has been changing dramatically and many don’t know if it’s for better or for worse.

Everyone noticed how Pinterest has been pushing Idea Pins more than anything, but this isn’t the only thing they’re changing.

Pinterest has been decreasing the impressions of many creators and as a Pinterest manager, many of my client’s account's impressions have been decreasing.

Now, the big question that popped up in everyone’s head is: how can you get to pinterest success in 2022?

I’ve been searching for the answer everywhere and I think I have found it, but let me know if you think this works.

The first thing I found to work is posting an Idea Pin directly talking about a section of the website/product/service I’m promoting.

For example: “Do you want to know how to start a blog?” “If so, you can go to the link in my bio and go check out the guide”

The second thing is you have to get long tail keywords.

That’s right, not just any keywords, longtail ones.

It’s like Pinterest SEO is becoming more and more similar to Google SEO, isn’t it?

I have talked about finding the perfect long tail keywords in this article.

Long tail keywords have become a for sure thing to keep in mind when making a standard pin or an idea pin.

And these were all the changes I have found.

This Blogging Change Can Affect Every Blog

Well, blogging is great, isn’t it?

But recently a huge thing happened and many changes are already coming in every blogger’s way.

Blogging is changing fast!

What is this big thing that happened? well you’ve probably heard about Meta. Many have seen that their traffic is slowly decreasing and will go down even more if we don’t do anything.

Why? Because Meta and every social media platform out there want to keep their audience on their platform.

Pinterest is doing this, Quora is doing this, LinkedIn is doing this, Instagram and so on.

That means it will become extremely hard for you to drive an audience to your blog.

But we have found a way to drive readers to your website even if certain apps don’t want to.

That way is: brand awareness and to make profit you need to add affiliate products in your social media.

What do I mean by that? Well, you need to promote the name of your blog as much as possible.

Make the reader remember the name, so that later on they can come to your website.

For example, on Pinterest create an Idea Pin where you offer the reader information and then you tell them that if they visit your website they’ll get access to a checklist or anything like that.

Now, what about profit?

Affiliate marketing can now be done directly on the platform.

Promote affiliate products on your Instagram stories, on your Idea Pins.

Now, you need to have a few things to make profit:

-good CPL programs

-programs with recurring commissions

-programs that offer you banners

-programs that offer you long cookie duration

Email Marketers, you need to hear this!

All email marketers should know this change…

Email marketing has been constantly growing recently and that is an amazing thing, but unfortunately, this has made a lot more competition appear in the whole email marketing community.

So, it’s not as easy to create successful email campaigns.

Many things changed, but the most important things to get over 78% engagements in your emails are these:

Incorporate unique signature/logo

Studies have shown that emails that contain a logo of their brand have a chance of 15,4% of better engagements.

It seems more professional and gives your reader an impression of trust that will overall make them interact more with your content.

Pre-Header should be the attention grabber

Not necessarily your subject lines.

It has been seen that people look in their inbox more at the pre header rather than the subject line.

It’s surely something to keep in mind when creating an email.

It’s a lot more helpful if you do this the right way.

DMARC, SPF and DKIM are a need

To get into the main inbox, which is probably your main goal, you need to have all of these: DKIM, SPF and DMARC.

Seems like something difficult?

It’s not really. I’ve explained it in this article in only 10 steps.

Stick to one column layout

Not more than one.

An email should be kept as simple as possible and this is one way to do it.

Keep it simple! Have only one column layout. You’ll see how much it’ll help you.

By having a one column layout, your email will become a little easier to read and understand.

Avoid walls Of Text

This is one of the biggest mistakes.

You need to avoid walls of text as much as possible.

When I’m telling you, this is one of the most important things out there for anyone that sends out an email marketing campaign.

You need to keep this in mind whenever you’re sending a new email.

Does This Instagram Change Affect Business Owners?

All business owners should hear this change…

Instagram is a great platform to do business management on and for good reasons, but it has been recently going through some changes.

What changes?

Well, many of them, but mostly regarding the way SEO works.

You probably already know by now that REELS and carousels do the best, but did you know that, now, that your reels should also follow a set of rules to get engagements.

What are these rules?

First, it’s about what you write in the reel or talk about.

Instagram has a search engine tool that allows it to understand what’s written or said in the reel.

Means that your reel and reel description should contain the same keywords.

It takes a while to figure out what keywords you should use, and I have explained it in this article: How To Grow Your Instagram Account With Reels SEO.

Secondly, you need to understand the hashtags.

Probably seen that you shouldn’t use many hashtags, but the question that remains is:

How many should you actually use?

Well, 4-7 is about a good number.

But it’s more about what hashtags you use.

What you should do is find accounts that represent your target audience and see exactly what hashtags they follow and use them.

Do not use too common hashtags, especially for reels.

Another thing instagram loves is: building a reel on their app.

Use Instagram to write the text of your reel and your videos.

Put music from Instagram and so on.

Use as many Instagram features as you can when building a reel.

And these were about all the things that make a reel perfect.

Can this be the affiliate marketing best kept secret?

If you’re interested in affiliate marketing, this might surprise you…

Affiliate marketing is something that probably every digital marketer knows and loves, but as many know, it’s not that easy to make profit from it.

Why? Well, because affiliate marketing is difficult.

Some strategies work and some don’t, but these are the ones that most likely work the best.

CPL Programs

Recurring commissions over bounties

You’ve probably heard of the 3 types of affiliate marketing:

1.CPC (Cost Per Click) — You earn each time someone clicks through your links;

2.CPL (Cost Per Lead) — You earn each time someone offers a lead (an email address, creates a free account);

3.CPA Or CPS (Cost Per Action Or Cost Per Sale) — You earn each time someone buys from your links!

They’re all great! But CPA ones are the only ones that are being talked about.

Why is that? No idea.

It’s a lot more difficult to convince someone to buy from you rather than to just sign up or give their email.

That’s why CPL programs are more likely to work well.

They mostly work best with the affiliate comparison method that I’ve talked about in this article where I also added a list of the best CPL programs.

Now, let me talk to you about programs with recurring commissions.

Why are they so good? Because they allow you to build PASSIVE INCOME.

The thing that everyone wants!

Think about it this way: you have an affiliate program that pays you 33% commissions and the program you promote costs 15 dollars per month.

That means you get 3 dollars every month if a person continues their subscription even if they don’t come to your website again.

A person usually cancels a subscription after 1–2 years of using the program.

That means, by only referring the person once you’ll be making profit every month without working.

Let’s say you refer 1000 people in one month. For the next year at least you’ll be making 3000 bucks a month without sending anyone again.

Seems pretty great, huh?

That’s why recurring programs with monthly payments are a lot better than bounties and why you should always choose them.

Now these were the secrets I have found the most helpful about affiliate marketing!
