Headcanon 001 - Holtzmann is an Aspie

           She has a tendency to be  too loud, too bright, too focused, too scattered and often gets lost in her work. Her intense focus on building ghost-busting tech because it’s her “special interest”  going so far as throwing herself in front of the gear without hesitation, not caring that she can be physically harmed.      People with Asperger syndrome often see things differently, in Holtzmann’s case, most things are too bright, so Holtzmann started wearing her amber tinted glasses, because they dim things down, tint them a little darker and sometimes she needs that.      She often has trouble fitting into social situation or adjusting to social norms, her clothes being flashy, wearing two different socks or clashing colors.  So she cam be the weirdest thing in the room before anyone could tell her that she was       She’s never written things down or made outlines, never been able to plot things out in neat little notes  or make it fit into  graph paper squares. the ideas just seem to float around her head, turning and flashing in multicolored 3D modeling in her own head,and no matter how she tries she just can’t seem to explain it.       Holtzmann is very dependent on her friends to tell her what is socially acceptable and what isn’t, often looking at them to see how she should be reacting to things. ( her talking about all the things she could do with a dead body, not realizing she wouldn’t be allowed to keep it. )      Sometimes it’s easier for her to be out in public surrounded by people, sometimes it doesn’t bother her at all, and other times, she has to stay close to Erin, or Patty or Abbey because they keep her grounded, remind her she’s safe.

She huffs when the other put her tail near her face. Wrinkling her nose teasingly. "The guys are gonna love you." She smiles. "And I could always use some help finding metal to use."

Holtz hummed as if musing it over before nodding. “Okay, you’re Batman. But only because you’re taller than I am.” The Engineer laughed, stopping suddenly. “Oh! Oh! I could make an actual batarang!”

“Good, cause I actually have a Batman costume!! It’s from a couple Halloween’s ago,” Kevin said excitedly, pouncing a little in his seat

“Really?! That would be so awesome!! How long will it take Holtzmann!?”

"A few days, maybe. A week but we can do that later, later, later." She waves a hand at the other.
