Would you consider Dex touch-starved?

oh absolutely. that man probably hasn’t been touched with any amount of affection since dr mercer died, and even then it would have been a rare occurrence because she had to maintain at least some semblance of a professional boundary with him. his reaction when fisk hugged him is very telling here. you can see in his eyes that he’s absolutely starved for comfort and loving touch and he basically signs his soul over to the first person who gives it to him.

I think it may even be jarring at first for him to be kissed, hugged, held, because he’s so unused to being treated that way that he would not know what to do with it. but once he gets taste of it he’s drinking it down like a man dying of thirst. and I don’t think it ever stops being special for him. even years into your relationship he still gets overwhelmed sometimes with how gentle and loving your touch is

I think what makes Stucky my favorite ship of all time is because Im able to see them as switches. It works, pre serum and post. It did take me awhile but it worked out!! And I think after awhile, I will get past Loki (Lokius) and Dex (DexMatt) only being bottoms lmao

Winterbaron is also a ship I see with them both being switches, but its a ship alot of people dont like so I cant just throw it out there lol

Feeling so spoiled to have mattdex … a violent villain/protag ship featuring two disabled men whose respective conditions - Matt is blind and has heightened perceptions that fatigue him to the degree that he uses a cane to *give himself a break* from them; Dex is canonically mentally ill and, depending on your definition of the term, neurodivergent - shape their motivations and perceptions of the world, without making them one-dimensional. Men who suffer from lingering scars and aches but seek out pain in one another and in the brutal paths that they’ve laid out for themselves … as they absolutely fuck each other up. It’s so cathartic!
